Project Runway Season 3

I had a strong feeling Jeffery was going to take it from the beginning, despite some horrible outfits. They really portrayed him as an A$$ho*e, too, and he said some really crappy things and I really wanted him to get the boot so many times even though his style is closer to my heart than most of them. Yeah, I made a forever 21 comment about him on one of the other sites, too, somewhere, but I ended up liking him in the end. to be a TOTAL sap, seeing him with his little boy was adorable.
I thought Laura's collection was really good, and I didn't like most of her stuff throughout the whole show.
I loved that simple turtleneck dress she did! It's very early 90's, isn't it? I love it.
I think her whole style is going to be much more out front in the near future and will be worn by younger people than the judges anticipated.
Michael, no matter how nice he seemed, did not deserve to win just out of the fact that he is too green, I feel. I liked some of his looks during the show, but that last collection was HORRIFYING!! WHOA!! soooooo Kimora Lee Simmons!!
Uli's was nice, not my thing but I can see it selling really well! Although I don't think any of them showed anything jaw dropping, they all have talent.

I liked Uli's and Jeffrey's but I think Jeffrey won because he had outfits for different occassions and showed more creativity

I actually really loved Uli's collection the best, which is strange for me since her's was only my third fave after seeing the videos. Her clothes moved down the runway very nicely, and for whatever reason i dont remember seeing that many solid colored dresses on getty, only the boring print ones she had a knack for throughout the season. Although Jefferey's collection moved from my top favorite to second, im still glad he won:clap:and more importantly beat out Laura, though i liked her collection too.

My opinion on Michael's mess still hasn't changed. It was also nice to hear all my friends FINALLY say "oh, that IS naasty!" rather than "I dont believe you! I'm sure his collection will be good - it's michael!"

Jeffrey needs a tan.

Im glad he won, Im glad Michael didn't. Would've preffered it if Laura won, though...

^ i agree ... nevertheless, i'm happy with the results  jeffrey's cute ... at least personally ... ;) ^_^

Jeffrey Sebelia Wins Project Runway

Jeffrey Sebelia's game plan for winning Project Runway was simple: "I wanted people to be mad at me, like, 'Who is this idiot?' " says this season's bad boy, who walked away with the top-designer title on Wednesday night's finale of the hugely popular reality series. "Then I wanted to change their minds with the stuff that I made throughout the show."

Talk about making it work: Sebelia nabbed Runway's grand prize with a final collection that showed a softer side to his hard-edged style. "He's like another Vivienne Westwood," says Runway's Tim Gunn. "He's adept at taking what's happening on the street and making it into fashion with a capital F."

That arc from street to fashion is a journey Sebelia, 36, knows all too well. In and out of drug rehabs since age 17, Sebelia hit bottom in 2001, when his habit left him suicidal. "I was hooking up my belt to this chandelier in my room, crying uncontrollably," he recalls of his attempt to hang himself. But his roommate came home early and persuaded him to seek help again. The next morning, at an AA meeting, he befriended two men who got him to enroll in an intensive 30-day rehab program in Pasadena. Their goodwill "started to solidify my belief that I could get clean," says Sebelia.

Around the one-year point of his sobriety, the Mount Washington, Calif.-based Sebelia started taking classes at a local trade school to learn the basic tenets of design. "As soon as I started sewing," he says, "I realized I was meant to do it." Today he has a rock-inspired label, Cosa Nostra, and a 21-month-old son, Harrison Detroit (whose name is tattooed across Sebelia's neck), with girlfriend Melanie Vesey. And now with his Runway win, Sebelia couldn't be more enthusiastic about the future. In 10 years, he says, "I want to be a real force in fashion."

Congrats to all of them! All of them made some great pieces! I was surprised by Uli's collection most of all! :woot: I liked Laura's collection too! I can see both of their stuff in the near future. Yaaaaaaaay for all of them!!!:D

I'd really love to buy Uli's collection.. any piece from there... ^^ the challenge was fair.. they were all talented... michael has talent too but yeah he needs to mature.. it seemed like he's trying too hard... jeffery's designs are spectacular, i wanna say.. it's just not something I would wear.. laura's.. so beautifully made.. : ) Project Runway ROCKS!!! NOW, what am I gonna do on Wednesday nights >.<

I can't believe Jeffrey won and outbeat Uli and Laura ! To me, his clothes are LA club seen, rock n roll rags. It's also funny to think he has an internship with INC, that should be interesting ! Congrats anyway and I'm sure the others will have success too! :flower:

when i saw the pictures from getty, i really liked jeffery's collection. but after i watch PR3 tonight, Uli was my picked to win. heidi was right, i would wear all the pieces from her and everything looks so great on the runway. Jeffery's was my 2nd picked but i'm glad he's the winner. I really like the green stripe jacket. wonder where i can get it...

Yeah Jeffrey!! I'm so glad he won. I have to admit I LOVED Uli's collection as well, all her pieces were beyond sexy. Micheal's wasn't much my taste, & dare I say a bit on the tacky side. Laura's collection was mainly simple pieces where all the details were in the intricate beading or lace that you could tell took time and effort to make, but nothing really popped out & impressed me out of her entire collection...pretty boring really. I'm so happy for Jeffrey, he deserved it. I'm sad this show is over for now though. :(

This is my 300th post, yeah me!!

I am glad Jeffery won. I think the judges chose him over Uli because her is a bit edgier, but as a customer, I am probably an Uli girl :) Oh and Laura's beeding was unbelieveable. It showed beautifully. I noticed the audiance gasping as well, but in the end I don't think she had enough forward vision for the judges. Michael...I think he got nerveous and fell back into old habits. Perhpas his time back in Atlanta influanced him too much. I am from Atlanta and just bought a house there. But I think he has a great personality and thoughtful vision that he will continue his "hunt" :) and mature. Love the show. My Wednesday's will be so sad now :( hehe ANTM is fun, but no comparison.

I was so disappointed in Michael that it kind of made me sad. My theory is that when he got back in ATL, he started partying and hanging out with friends because even when Tim came to see him and it was four weeks until the show, he seemed to have very little done. About 2 pieces actually. I honestly don't think he put enough effort into it. I mean his pieces were so simple and I was really underwhelmed except by his last look which I though was beautiful but he is the youngest so I'm proud that he made it that far.
Laura's was really nice but it just reminded me of Bill Blass and Oscar which is what I think NYC fashion week is kind of about but it wasn't enough to win.
Jeffery's was very nice but I thought that it was way too L.A for my liking. The only thing I liked was the finale dress and the striped blazer outfit.
i really thought that Uli was going to win. After her collection showed, the judges seemed to be beeming. I thought that hers was not groundbreaking, but noones collection was but it was absolutely spectactular and very cohesive.
I really thought that Uli should've one, but oh well, what can you do?

Uli's collection was the best, in my opinion. Next was Laura's.
