Project Runway Season 3

I really liked Uli's and thought that it was a bit different from her normal outfits.

Lauras was nice, but it was pretty boring. I could see her designing for like White House Black Market. LOL.

Jeff's was great, a bit different for him, and VERY cohesive I thought.

^_^ i love project runway! I like Uli's collection especially Jeffrey's. They both have good taste and style. I think Michael's collection was kinda like babyphat style, and Laura's collection is too oldish.

Whether you agreed or disagreed with the outcome of last week's Project Runway, everyone's been buzzing about the show and its designers (over 700 of our readers have written in!). Now, here's your chance to buy that piece you were in love with on the runway: Every look from all four finalists' shows at Bryant Park is for sale through the end of the day! Bid on one of the looks from Jeffrey's winning punk collection, Laura's elegant eveningwear, Uli's tropical-chic dresses (left), or Michael's urban safari-wear. If the auction prices are running a little steep for you, consider a t-shirts by Season Three's Designers or the Tim Gunn bobblehead. Tell us: whose clothes do you want to buy?

Does anyone know the name of the artist/song that Laura played during her runway show at OFW? Thanks.

Its all subjective I guess b/c to me, I agree with the judges.
Jeff surprised on the runway, stepped it up,was cutting edge, didn't give what the judges had already seen and innovated.
Both Uli and Laura presented very safe and commercial albeit "pretty" collections. Laura even said to Tim she wouldn't take a risk...she wanted to do what she knew in a better way. The judges weren't looking for safe or pretty.

ITA!!!

I'm happy with the decision which is surprising because I disliked Jeffrey at one point and I thought Alison was crazy when she said she hoped Jeffrey would win. In the end, it's not about personality but about talent.

I think Laura said it best in her interview with Entertainment Weekly when she was asked "When did you realize you weren't going to win?":
LAURA BENNETT: Standing on that runway after we all had our critiques and we were all asked the questions: Why should you be chosen? What do you think you have to offer the design world? I knew that Jeffrey was going to win. He was very articulate. I came to realize actually at the end of the competition that Jeffrey's better for fashion than I am. Jeffrey takes risks. He was either in the top or the bottom of every challenge, literally. He either won or he was standing there in the circle of shame at the end, almost being sent home. And I think that's great for fashion. I think fashion loves that. They want to know what's next and what's new, and they want people to take risks. And when your risks pay off, they're all over it, they love it. And when your risks fail, they'll slam you. Jeffrey did that all the way along, and I think that's good for fashion, and Project Runway is about finding the next sort of fashion designer — the voice.

one of laura's gowns sold for the highest price during the auction...
from nypost.com

A third-place finisher on "Project Runway" has emerged as a first-place winner in an on-line auction of outfits seen on the series.

In the auction, which ended last night on projectrunway.com, a gown designed by contestant Laura Bennett fetched the top price of any garment featured in Season Three - $4,500 for a shimmering, floor-length gown.

The dress was one of 12 garments she designed for the final runway show in Bryant Park. Bennett, 43, of Manhattan, was the contestant who clashed in the show's final episodes with tattooed L.A. designer Jeffrey Sebelia, 36, who was revealed last week as the winner of Season Three.

His highest-priced creation - a striped dress with a complex array of zippers - sold for $2,900.

That was less than the highest-priced piece made by second-place finisher Uli Herzner, 35, of Miami Beach, whose silvery mini-dress sold for $3,425.

The other "Runway" finalist - Michael Knight, 28, of Atlanta - attracted a high bid of $1,325 for an exotic black and gold gown.

Pink reader Jennifer sends in these photos from the Macy's window in NYC that is showcasing Project Runway winner Jeffrey Sebelia's winning designs:Unfortch for Mr. Sebelia they managed to spell his name wrong on the window. And they seem to think he is the "winter" of Project Runway instead of the winner. Whoopsie! It looks like they need a copy editor in the worst way.

I love that green blazer too and adore the dress. I really want to win both of them in the PR auction, but I lost. I did win one of Laura's dresses, can't wait to get it.

Did anyone else win one of the final collection items?
