i was there too!
i was at the eaton centre location!
Funny thing is though, a majority of the people there[ready for the elitism?] didnt even look like they could pull a majority of the line Large women with said pants in size 8 when they are clearly a 14, and old man with a pair of jodhpurs, and this girl who was like 12 with that almost two-piece looking dress.
oh, i forgot to mention. I was talking to the manager, and she said that there were only 10 of those Lolita dresses in the US and the SF store had 5. I've been hearing different numbers[11, 12, 15,]. Out of curiosity, does anyone know?
mayhem, mayhem, mayhem.
nope they're wiped out. my friend and i went to both... we got to the h&m on sunset at around 9:15 and it was a mad house, completely packed and hardly anything left, so we went to the beverly center. we got there at like 9:30 and we thought we'd have a chance because we thought the store opened at 10, but it opened at 9, and everything was practially gone aside from 4 of the basic button ups. one of the sales associates said everything was gone within 10 minutes and really only the first dozen people got any of the good stuff. people had mountains of the cdg stuff in their arms and like everyone said, i really don't think they were enforcing that "buy only 2 of each item" rule.i just got home and i told my mom how the h&m store was here in LA since she went to buy me the things i wanted since i was at school and i was soooo dissapointed with what she told me. She told me that there was a huge line and that by the time she got in she didn't see any of the things i wanted. I trust her but i have this feeling that she was looking in the wrong place. ugh i think i might go later with my sis. does anyone know, here in los angeles, if some stores still have some of the goods? i really wanted some of the polka dot peices, the color blocked sweater, the scarf, and others

btw are you guys sure that sf had 6 of the coat dresses? because one of the associates at the beverly center said they had 2 of them.
Seriously, what is wrong with...
1. H&M for letting the collection sell out in 10 minutes...it's insane and it's really just mean. Why can't the collection be in stores for a month? I just don't get it...it's not like it WON'T sell....
2. Customers for acting like rabid animals running around a store grabbing everything they can get their hands on...I'd be so ashamed of myself if I was there with them acting the same way.
^^Exactly...I guess "democratic design" is reserved for those without a day job and a sense of self decorum.
I was at the Bloor location. I read your post about how you weren't able to get the drop-crotch pants you wanted. I don't think the Bloor store hand any women's pants at all (either that or people took them all, but I was about 25-30th person in line). Did they run out of the pants so fast at Eaton? How many pieces of each style did they have in stock? The employees at Bloor were acutally reinforcing the 2 pieces per style rule, but the stuff still went off the racks really fast.
