RIP Alexander McQueen CBE : 1969 - 2010

I really hope he's got peace now. It's incredibly sad to think his beautiful vision has been lost forever. He had such a promising and exciting career to come, i still can't believe he's gone. He was truly a genius.

I certainly hope they show his last collection next month. It will be an extremely sad but touching and fitting memorial (and possibly) farewell to the "Alexander McQueen" brand.

So Sad, i'm really heartbroken... may he rest forever and ever in the most beautiful peace along with his mother and loved ones.

thx for posting that Yendor!
Look how sad everyone was except for Naomi..

I cant swallow this either, I'm thinking about getting Alexander McQueen's name, 'McQueen' on my back.

^it feels so numb when people take their own lives, its so hard to find solace :( .. it's been only what, 2 months since Daul Kim and now this? i feel like there must be some kind of darkness in fashion right now :(

It's unbelievably sad! His collections was always long-awaited for me. And now I can't imagine fashion world without Alexander McQueen. I can't accept this loss....
RIP

MMA thanks for posting that interview with Cathy.:flower:

I thought McQueen had said that when he died he didn't want the company to continue... I'm not sure if it will continue, the McQueen brand is still a baby compared to all the old fashion houses.
In the latest issue of Love magazine, he gave an interview, and here is what he said (so sad, and touching to read it now!):
"I'm 40 now, but I want this to be a company that lives way beyond me, and i believe that customers are more important to making that happen than press. When i'm dead, hopeuflly this house will still keep going. On a spaceship. Hopping up and down above earth."

I loved that tribute at Fashion for Relief. Natasha made me cry when she walked out. :( I do want the Alexander McQueen label to continue but I don't even want to think about someone else designing it.

Those are some extraordinary dresses up there. Naomi's shoes are out of the planet -- but that was Mcqueen's strenght, innovation.

Noami and the girls look fab but I can not help but feel so sad:cry: I still can not believe he is gone:(

The Brit Awards ar eon (the British Grammys) and Gaga dedicated her performance to Alexander McQueen :(

she changed the lyrics, right? not only the "we miss you so badly" part but also "going through my closet (...) maybe i'll just take the train to Marble Arch (...)" etc?
