Rodarte for Target

Oddly, when I went to Target the other day there was an almost identical shrug hanging with the scarves and gloves area. I thought at first someone had stuck the Rodarte ones there, but it was another brand. It wasn't as furry, but the same color and cut.

Will this line be at all Target stores or just selected ones? Is there a list anywhere?
Strangely, McQ and Anna Sui were only at certain stores, and in my area, two completely different stores. I have no idea how they figure this out.

i agree about the leopard dress...
i think it's because there's really not much give to the fabric and it just tends to feel too snug...
i went up to a 9 too when trying that on (which then ended up sort of gaping in a few areas and not fitting right)...
even though on the hanger the 7 LOOKED like it should be a good fit
Also, that dress thing DEFINITELY looks like a bathrobe...
and i wouldn't want it even if it were a bathrobe

I stopped by my Target just now to pick up some presents and there was the Rodarte collection even though I had called this morning and the girl had no clue, ugh!
Black lace cardigan(they didn't have the mustard or nude)-This was my favorite thing. It has a long lean fit with extra long sleeves. If you want to layer this over a long sleeve shirt you are going to want to def size up.
Nude bow dress-I tried this on and in my head I could hear my grandmother saying, "Dreams! Put some clothes on!" It also fit weird in the bust on me, so it made it easier to pass on it.
Navy skirt with tulle-I love this but I'm going to have to see how it fits in my wardrobe. I always have a hard time with this color, this is a midnight navy, which makes it a bit easier. I probably could have taken the 5, but I like that the 7 fit lower at the waist and gave me a little more length.
Mustard lace & tulle skirt-I liked this, but I had to limit what I was buying. Similar fit to the navy skirt.
Flowered dress with halter/black bow neckline-I don't look good in these type of necklines but wanted to check it out anyway. The skirt is full and short, reminds me of something Alexa Chung would wear.
Leopard dress-ah the leopard dress. This is what I was most looking forward to, and it came home with me, but I'm unsure. Like everyone else, the fit is really off. Actually with everything it seems there is a big jump from each size.
The 7 on me felt restrictive in the arms and bunched a bit around the butt, but the 9 fit like a shift dress and was loose where it probably was supposed to be tight. I came home with the 7 but I'm going to sleep on it. Also the fabric is pretty crappy. I think I thought it was going to be a meshy stretch fabric, but it is lined and the lace is very stiff.
Also, did anyone else notice that the black part of the leopard had bled into the yellow and left green spots? I don't think it was part of the design, since it isn't consistent throughout(at least on the two I looked at)
Black lace trim bikini-I brought this home without trying it on. I just did for my husband and he was like wow! And I said, this is a bikini, do you think it is too much like lingerie? And he say yes, I thought I was getting lucky!
. So though I think it is adorable, it is going back.
Oh and the striped shirt that I saw doesn't look navy & white striped. It looks more like a really pale blue w/darker blue stripes, so not sure if there are two different ones?
That is all I tried on, but I'm going to another Target tomorrow. I know there are supposed to be 55 pieces, but mine only had like 15.

wow this is really irritating! it seems like there's no point in calling in because the employees don't have a cluee. i went to one target today and saw nothinggg. doesn't arrive till the 20th? so ill spend the whole day searching every target around my area.
i'm still really excited to get my hands on the leopard dress, lace cardi, lace print dress, the tights and knee socks...
i got the slip dress and ribcage dress already, the fit isn't great on either but no worse than something from h&m. they def run a bit small though. i have to wiggle into the ribcage one.

i definitely agree with all the stuff you wrote dreams
i wasn't crazy about the fabric on the leopard dress and as i mentioned a couple times the fit was off for me.. neither the 7 nor the 9 really fit the way they should.
and i agree about the greenish bleed on the fabric and the stiff feel/tight arms.
the bikini definitely looks like lingerie but i think that's why i like it
i'm single so it might be worth getting the extra attention

i went target tonight and found the collection there!
It looked really sparse but the collection couldn't have been out for more than a day. There was basically only one of each size. I managed to get my hands on the Mustard cardigan in Medium, I didn't even know that it had asymmetrical buttons. That was pretty cool. I also got the blue dress in 7, it was a bit loose on the bust area, probably would've been perfect with a 5 but there was no 5 in sight.
The halter black and floral dress fit really weirdly. I felt that the bodice was too small, even for my small chest, some ppl might get side cleavage.
The other stuff looked so cheap that I didn't even bother. No coats, shrugs, or accessories. I think there will be a second release of newer stuff or something.

Lol Chrissy, as my husband said, it looks hot! You looked great in it. I asked him if he would mind if I wore it out, and he said of course not, but don't be surprised if guys follow you down the beach!
Kimair, I wanted to like the raincoat, but something about the print and the weight of the jacket made it look inexpensive to me. But I'm contemplating keeping a too tight caveman looking dress with what could be bones instead of bows going up my back, so what do I know

kimair - It looks worse in person, unfortunately.
I went to another Target yesterday, and they had more items. I ended up buying the lace print dress.
There was an ivory cardigan sweater/scarf. I just didn't like the color of the buttons. It would have looked much better if the buttons were gray, or any other muted color. Wish that Target stocked the gray one, I really wanted that piece.
Saw the denim jacket and shorts, not my style.
No leopard coat though
Since it's a 55-piece collection, I'm assuming more items will be released at a later date? Or are there going to be select items at each Target? I'll have to hit up some more since I'd really like to see the leopard coat.

the only thing i can think of the justify the raincoat, is because they had to design these collections with a theme in mind, and chose films from teh 1960's...and they always seem to have cool raincoats in those. LOL
i found pics of the floral rain jacket and bag on ebay...
i just don't see how this is rodarte's aesthetic at all...
