the brown short sleeve t shirt with the bow on it that tavi g. "the blogger" wears costs 15$.

the mauve top that sungelly87 snapped looks great.

Do you guys think there might be a launch party for this new collection for target???

maybe! or a pop up store. for most collaborations target usually opens a large store for two days days in new york.

unlike H&M's parties, the public or anyone who wants to can go and attend the party or buy the items ahead of time. the pop up stores for target are usually very well curated.

I wish they would give us pictures of all the items in this collection.

^^ since the pictures didn't come out yesterday, it probably won't be out until wednesday of next week, i'm guessing. giving us a peek right before thanksgiving

@edithandbob- You can always get the collections (if interested) on Target.com/go

As for this Rodarte Collab, I'm skeptical. Rodarte usually get away with that whole Gothy Spidery Fabric stuff because they use exceptional materials and use them for great construction. If you use crap materials, this is gonna look like Merry Go Round reject clothing.

Dec 20 cannot come sooner! I need that black dress with the bows on the shoulders, that lacey cardigan. GOD if only this collection had shoes as well...

i kinda agree with soft and meg re: collection skewing young...

as someone over 30, i can't see myself wearing most of what has been pictured, especially not the dress on tavi or the blue lace dress...
the only thing i really like is the lace (?) cardigan from the bazaar pic...
and as someone who can't afford real rodarte, it is frustrating to want to buy from them and seeing this as a great opportunity to and then be disappointed...
i'm also disappointed that this doesn't include some of their bigger hits, like the slashed leather leggings, sweaters, and pleated skirts...

yes, a young girl may buy this and check into rodarte and discover something great, but will she be able to buy rodarte? unless she comes from money (or interns at teen vogue), the answer is probably no...

i do think this will help the brand overall, but it is a let-down that most of the people who know what rodarte is won't be able to wear this collection...

I think it begs the question why aren't these designer collaborations geared more towards women instead of teens? They could even up the price range on the clothes and have better quality since adult women could afford to pay more. Also they would still be able to tap into the teen crowd since it's more likely that a teen will buy a Rodarte women's item than a woman buying something meant for a 15 year old.

here is a pic of the leopard jacket from redbook
(tart-y for the party)

^^ ohh thanks lucy!
Can't wait to see the actual color of the lace dress, sometimes it looks goldrod and other times very nude.
the leopard coat looks nice.
