Although I am quite educated I have yet to complete a course in mind reading.

I remember the whole controversy over Serrano's picture, but I feel it is irrelevant because in my opinion the picture is very beautiful. No matter the disrespect and the motivations to me the aesthetic is still elevated above all that muck. End of controversy for me. As to the rosary I think it is aesthetically nice looking, and I am sure others feel the same which is why they will wear it as a necklace. No group has ownership over the iconography they use, remember the Catholic church didn’t invent the cross nor the crucifix they just choose to use it for their own symbolism. Others then should have the same right to use it for their own means even if it means the bastardization of the said symbol. I’m sure the Asians and Native Americans that used the swastika were disgusted that the Nazi’s poisoned that symbol, but that is the way it goes. If they want to reclaim it back more power to them. I just think that people are too sensitive and all too ready to be offended by the actions of others, as if some are actively looking for something to be disgusted about. I say move on, and put it all down.
