Yes and no : concerning the extras who were just standing in the hot sun barefoot on the grass, they were indeed "normal" women ; but the vast majority of the girls who walked up and down the catwalk were real models. In particular, the blonde who had to remove her shoes is model Amina Blue.

This whole thing was a mishap. Idk how that girl in the black boots made it through rehearsal (if they even did one in the shoes?)

Actually the girl in the black boots couldn't walk at all because her right heel was broken (cf. the two photos below) ! So I guess that all went well for her during the rehearsal and that her heel simply broke right in the middle of her walk during the actual show (which is in my opinion very indicative of the "quality" of Kanye West's designs ).

Update : According to Amina Blue herself, the main problem was that most models had to wear plastic shoes, a thing that would have caused no problem under normal conditions, but in the 86-degree heat it made the models' feet extremly sweaty, and so they kept slipping inside of the shoes. Hence the fact that she had to remove her shoes and that all the models were more or less wobbly on the catwalk.

Idk but for some reason I'm thinking the writer might be Karmen Pedaru. I mean, she was around during the sky high Prada S/S 09 shoes with the silk socks debacle & walked the Alexander McQueen S/S 10 show with the armadillo shoes. She's 5'10" & Estonian with older bf/husband.

All the other Estonian girls (Carmen Kass, Elisabeth Erm, Katlin Aas, Tiiu Kuik, Kelli Lumi) just don't quite fit

I doubt the model is actually 20. If she was 20 then she would have had to have been 14-15 at the oldest to walk Prada s/s 09 and be 20 right now. What 14 year old was at Prada that season and also from Estonia? It wasn't Carmen/Katlin/Elisabeth/Tiiu. They are all older than that.

^exactly. Firstly, the writer sounds older than 20yrs old and secondly I think she was just trying to hide her identity by changing her age and saying bf instead of hubby.
