Scariest collections ever?

daoudmac, would you please provide the source for that image. Thank you.

I love to be frightened by fashion. It just has this whole contrast of what fashion is generally seen as.
Hence my favourite collections tend to be the "WTF!?" ones.

I think the VOSS collection from McQueen is the scariest ... of the one with the red star sanded runway .... though Kate Moss as a ghost beats everything!

i really don't know why, but V&R's Russian Doll Collection scares the hell out of me, especially the last preparation:

Omg, thank you so much for posting this. I saw this collection back when it came out and I was about 10 years old and I've always wondered who designed it and never knew how to find pictures or anything because I was clueless about it. The images from this collection have stuck with me that long and your post finally answered my question.

I think that's pretty remarkable when a designer can really present such a memorable collection.

The Russian Doll Collection is one of my favorites and it is so creepy and great. I think that Viktor & Rolf actually dressing the model is what makes it so creepy.

it was the same with me, back then, i was eleven and somewhere i saw it...
when i saw that whole video again, it gave me goosebumps all over again. i think it's the way how the model disappears underneath all those clothes. And Rizer's face, she blinks so much, she must have been very excited. Those clothes must have weighted a ton. and even though it is so scary for me, at the same time the clothes are just utterly beautiful. genius

What about McQueen A/W 07-08?
I heard people were so freaked by the show he put on they didn't buy any of it..?

Hahaha .. you beat me to it! I thought about posting it but cudnt find a thing about that collection .. and Maggie rocked it! I loved how twas not overtly somber but it had a creepy vibe -maybe the monk cape thingie from the beginning?)

Galliano's mens shows always veer on the creepy side of things. They're always a bit deranged. F/W 08 was particularly dark though, with the hooded murder victims and jesters straight out of a nightmare....or a Kubrick film.

I wish he would inject some of the darkness of his men's shows into his women's shows, like he managed to with the vampire-esque prostitutes that someone posted in here already.

They are the masters of the macabre (McQueen) and the bizarre (Galliano).

I'd like to explore the Japanese designers more in depth. In fact, CDG's "blob" collection was "scary" to many, because it seemed to endorse deformity.
