Schiaparelli by Christian Lacroix Haute Couture F/W 13.14 Paris

magical, his creations really look like museum quality pieces from another era:heart:

I was truly excited for this collection, and it is a wonderful collection, for an exhibit or theater :(. Looks too much like a retrospect and not a modern interpretation.

It looks dated and costumy, I'm disappointed.

It does look somewhat dated, but that green gown is everything.

^ "cheap" - it doesn't mean what you think it means.

The fashion world is no longer a dull place thanks to Monsieur Lacroix. He is a genius with colour and texture.

They're absolute fools for not hiring him as full time creative director. He is such a fabulous designer. So glad to see new work from him!

Amazing museum pieces, exclusively crafted, very beautiful, but as mentioned before - a little outdated. Dark costumes are the best, so much drama. Like them a lot

that was exactly my first thought as well. indeed very costumey and ultimate lacroix but then again he has his own special place in the fashion universe and it would be shame to waste it. i just wish he updated his visions somehow, as these are not modern anymore from my point of view.

Looks great, tho had to see with the confusing background

The presentation is a mess. Tights that are too short for the extended mannequins, you can clearly see the crotch under one of the black cape coats.

Its a shame because I think alot of these looks are so gorgeous and a true fusion of the two houses.

Also, the pink and black stripe dress looks like it was stapeled together.....terrible.

ugh the presentation cheapens the clothes SO MUCH. I'm sure if it was worn by models or presented in a better way it'd look spectacular. there are anyway some pieces that remind me why i miss lacroix so much. the capes, the coats, and THAT GREEN DRESS. stunning
