^It depends on your wardrobe.. do you have more black or taupe shoes. Personally I'd go for black! It goes with everything

I'd say yay to taupe if you already have a lot of black shoes. If not then black would probably be more versatile.

Black goes with everything, but you know there will always be someone to try something different or add some kind of pop of color. You know... little black dress with, hot pink pumps (for example). But yeah, I'd go black for the ankle boots in Post #289. As for the boots themselves, it's a (slight) Yay! from me.

Yay or Nay to these Acne 'inspired' boots? Also come in a true black or a brown. They have leather upper and lining

yay to those. I've always like the Acne ones but they are pretty expensive for a rather plain pair of boots so this would be a good alternative. I also like the color.

Two yay's so far for the ankle boots in Post #296... make it 3. Darkglass2009, I'll give it a yay, but only a (moderate) Yay! Not entirely in love with those. They do, however, look very nice. The sleek style and chunky heel make a very nice touch. Sweet boots!
