For the Lanvin peep-toe wedges in Post #853, I'd say those are a hot mess. Too much going on for me to approve. So I'm going Nay! for those. It's trying to be too many shoes at once- a pair of peep-toe platform wedges that have some sort of wood heel, some kind of snakeskin detail, some straps like espadrilles... I mean, make up your mind already! Just too much going on, and not enough for me to give them any sort of love.
People whom have dealt with me for the longest know how much I've attacked peep-toe boots before eventually liking them. Having said that, though, I'm going to Nay! the peep-toe booties in Post #864. The only positive is that they are not lace-up peep-toe booties. However, the style of these booties would make them a touch more stylish if these were lace-ups. These are like high-heel booties trying to be combat boots with that tough sole at the front. I'm not feeling these much at all. If edgy urban with a side order of chic is what you're going for, these are not a bad pair of peep-toe booties. However, I would probably do much better than go for these in Post #864.
So nay schizophrenic platform peep-toe wedges, and nay peep-toe hiking-like booties. Just because shoes or boots have peep-toes doesn't automatically make them stylish. The peep-toe design doesn't do a damn thing for its styling if the rest of the shoes or boots look like crap. If anything, it just exasperates the problem with them.
Dress (and shop) confidently!
