Shopping for Family of Brands-Carpe Diem, Linea, etc...

Does A or any other location currently still sell the LMaltieri knit hats or more importantly the gloves/mittens?
Tonight and last night's nasty *** weather has prompted this question hahahaha

By the way, pollyanna.com has put some of their LMaltieri on sale.

^I love that color. Could you explain how those work? I don't really understand how their supposed to be worn.

Hey Alex, I think it works like this... the piece on the left is sort of like fingerless gloves except without separate finger holes. Then you slip the left side piece on with your thumb coming out of that hole on the side to hold it in place. Almost like 2 part mittens. Cool idea, but I think it would be easy to lose a part and man... that would be like losing $100:lol:

Runner, that white light jersey jacket is absolutely gorgeous:heart:

A question for everyone here... do you guys just wear your carpe shoes as-is or do you get a layer of rubber put on the sole? I'm semi-hesitant to wear them knowing the leather sole is going to get scratched up... or is that something I should just accept?

You can put a rubber sole on it, why not? It won't ruin the look - not like you show off your sole . And yea, we want pictures, dammit!!!

Uh, for the kind of money that Carpe costs, you better believe I get a reinforcement on the sole! That leather will wear through fast. Go to the cobbler on Charles St, they do a good, fast job.

Fair enough. Thanks guys. Charles street is perfect since I'm at MGH too!

Faust, tonight I'll snap photos along with the Ann D. pieces. Still waiting with bated breath for the lmaltieri pants and shirt to arrive!

They are hands down the most supple and comfortable pair of shoes I've ever owned. The leather is... squishy and the back panel for the heel is sueded on the inside. Every seam is reinforced at the top with an extra bunch of loops so that they'll never pull or separate there. So awesome!

I still don't know why these were $600 while the white pair and other color still at IF are $900-1000.

puma gets crazier and crazier
every season with its footwear.
very suple.
i love having my time wasted.
that's why i'm getting cable. again.

It isn't actually a hood, it is a flap.

Also, it fit me quite well, and I'm a cruiserweight--about 6'2", 205. That is the size I took in it. I would definitely not say that it is one size down from 52.

I still can't bring myself to buy it, since I'm trying to be (more) responsible about these things now that I'm married.

Man, it hurts

So, I finally broke down and bought the asymetrical shirt from yoox. Too good to be true, of course--it is most likely a size 3, not a size 5. I'm *pissed*. And frustrated--this is the first purchase I've made in aeons.

A quick question for NYers...aside from Atelier and Barneys, what other locations in NYC carry C Diem boots? I had heard that the Earnest Sewn store might stock them, but haven't had the opportunity to check and see yet...is there anywhere else?

shopping questions and comments should be in the shop til you drop forum...
