Shorts

they just look too much like those puffy skirts that some fashion lines had a year ago..so they dont look like shorts imo

I love the tailored look for shorts, ones that almost look like menswear. Tailored with shiny buttons, maybe thin pinstipes or a thin plaid. I want a pair very very badly!

I love that look, too. I have a pair of Johnson shorts that is very dark grey with lighter grey pinstripes and shiny brass buttons. I love them.

How do your Johnson shorts fit? Did you have to size up or were they true to size? Thanks so much :flower:

I think the Johnson's are TTS, but I always ordered mine one size up for the short shorts, it's easier to move around in and looks/feels more comfy.

I would advise to take a size up.

I agree with PrincessImp. I think a smaller size would have worked for me but I like them to be loose. It's much more comfy that way. But they are probably tts.

Nobody looks good in bubble skirts/shorts.

And you are right, it does kind of look like a diaper from the back. Fashion is about flattering your body too, but there are some styles that just absolutely do not flatter anyone, even with legs like yours.

Why are you insulting people in this thread? It's absolutely not true that nobody is able to pull of bubble skirts and/or shorts. Why would they be sold if nobody would buy and wear them? I have seen a lot of girls wearing exactly that lately and they all looked fab.
I do understand that this is your opinion but this thread should not be about insulting anybody.

How would my post by considered an insult? I stated my opinion on the fit and style of the shorts of another member who wished for feedback. I'm sorry if my answer were not full of praises on a particular garment.

If anything, my reply should have been considered a compliment directing focus on her fabulous legs. If some people, such as you, cannot take the truth of other people's opinions on a fashion discussion forum, then maybe you should ignore all the negative views to mold into your pre-determined perception.

Of course, you are free to disagree with me, but you have absolutely no right to dictate my belief.

Yeah, I think onshye was actually complimenting her legs. :)

IMO, though Ive actually not seen a lot of girls wearing bubble skirts in my side of the planet :P I think it would look okay on those with really thin, endless legs. :)

i LOVE LOVE LOVE Johnson shorts, but they are ridiculously priced imo. That's why they're on shopintuition.com.

I am in love with them all basically, I don't really like the tailored ones though, I'm 18, I think I would look weird in them at the places I go to lmao

i.e. taco bell, lazer zone, ect I really need to grow up :) BUT I DONT WANT TOOOOOO hahaha

the bubble skirt type thing was "in" like 2 summers back... its rather passe...i never liked the trend though

#316. I totally agree with you! Being 18, I'm wearing cuffed tailored shorts with my baggy MK style shirts and people look at me rediculously perplexed. hahahahhaa. GROWING UP IS JUST NOT AN OPTION!! but it's inevitable :o(

does anyone know much about JOHNSON shorts?? I want a pair. I usually wear size 26 in all designer jeans what size would i buy in johnson shorts? thank you so much

It depends if you want them to fit tight or loose. I'm a size 4 and to my surprise I tried on a pair of longer Johnson shorts today at Barneys and they were a little baggy. I somehow liked the fit though because I can wear them more on my hips. I'd say you are probably a 0 or 2 in Johnsons.
