They set fire to my friend that did that
oh...no. fire? really:shock:
But I can't see why it would be a problem...? Isn't Elite supposed to get their girls out on the big market?

But then how do so many girls have 2, 3 or even more agencies to which they are signed?

but...can't you have a mother agency? For me that would be Elite and then an agency in NY - and that would be DNA (in the perfect dream-world:)?
If Elite has an agency in NY...which they do,they are not going to farm you out to another agency.

oh...I see...but hey, they haven't even replied yet:D....
A you say in danish : "den sorg til den tid"

If you're agency has branches in other cities, you stay with that agency. If they don't they set you up with other agencies. Ford uses Models one in London but you are with Ford if you are in Paris. Ford has an agency there.

Thank you so much Model_mom.
You are really good at explaining things:flower:

OK. So one more question. Now we are really imagening!

What if DNA or any other agenct showed "real" interest in me...?
Would it be smart to leave Elite for that...?
I mean, I live in Denmark. Could I then Have DNA as my mother-agency in NY and Elite in Denmark - cause DNA hasn't got an agency here in DK...?It's all very confusing... hah:lol:

If DNA "signs" you then I would leave Elite. They would decide who you are with in what city.

ok...I think I get it now...with a little help from my friends...;)
Now I need to go to sleep.
goodnight TFS , goodnight Everyone.

I need just a little GOOD advice- I'm going to an Elite Search this weekend, and could someone give me some pointers on what to do and what not to do? I mean, I have a very strong personality, and I'll let them see the real 100% me, but are there some things to say or do that could assist me?

Thanx :heart::heart::flower::heart::heart:

Be friendly,no attitude,no make up,simple clothes that show off your shape, good posture....have polaroids with you. good luck.

Hey I guess this shall be my first post  I'm with a really crappy agency now. They give me work but most of it i'm too young for.(i'm 15) One time they sent me to some audition for a really famous painter who wanted to airbrush all of the models bodies gold and have us stand behind a glass case...sort of like live art. A lot of famous people were going to be there too like Donatelle Versace and Sean Combs but if they found out i was 15 the guy who was running the auditions wouldv'e gotten fired . All I know is that some agencies don't really look at what kind of work they're assigning to their models. At that particular audition they wanted only dark skinned african american girls and these too poor white girls came in the audtion room and we were all like "huh?" and they said their agency sent them there...so yeah..I just wanted to say that. Oh and i'm also looking for a new agency :-P. any ideas?

These are some of my pics...be easy

I replied to the agency that was interested in me but I got a response email saying the woman is out of office until August 23rd, so it will be around 2 weeks until I hear back again..

Do most agencies send rejection emails out or just delete the ones they aren't interested in? I've sent my stuff to 6 or 7 agencies and have had 1 interested reply, 1 rejection, and one that I know I won't get a response for a few weeks because they are also on vacation (I guess August is popular since the fashion industry pretty much dies this month). As for the other 3 or 4, only 1 of them I think is so busy they wouldn't have time to reply or read my email yet. So the other 2 or 3, I'm guessing they rejected me and don't bother sending rejection emails? I think they should lol, it wouldn't be hard to copy and paste and click send and it's nice to know the email was received at all. I can understand snail mail not being replied to because of the cost of postage, but email is free.

A lot of agencies shut down this time of year, but by the end of August show castings start. They should already know before vacation time who their "new faces"will be for show season. They will be very busy with the shows and won't have much time to reply to anyone.(there are exceptions to this) The best time to send pictures would be in the late fall or early spring because thats is when agencies are looking for new talent.

So, DNA answered today - very quickly I must say. They were very sweet and told me that I looked extremely interesting (yes, that was the words..uiii...hø.) but I was too short - they did only accept models who are 5,9" and over - I'm only 5,8".
She said, that if I grew I could send some more pics...
Hmn..But I don't know if thats just a polite way of saying : "nooooo sweeeety.....?!"

If they just wanted to outright say no, they wouldn't have asked for more pics if you grew, would they? I don't think DNA would try to give people false hope.

but Anne Marie is with DNA and she's 5'8...hmmmmmmm..... good luck sweeeety :D

^^
Audrey Marnay is 5'6", it was in Vouge once I belived. Someone on another board mentioned that DNA is only interested in girls that have found success at other agencies.

Ben Grimes is only 5'8.5":flower:
