The 4-5 piece French wardrobe #9

^ I believe I have FR 42 items in my closet as well.

Noticed I didn't order from Yoox at all during 2016. Admirable restraint :wink:

I am calling H&M sizes EU-sizes:shifty: While no one is looking, we Scandis are hoping to do a Coup d'etat:wink: (Ps. Don't tell anyone.)

I ordered the jumper in FR38. I was worried it would ride up on my hips because of the straight-cut, and I am not really into the crop top look. And also the model who wore a FR36 looked like she was the size of my 11 year old niece so I didn't trust that my boobs would fit...

^ Scandinavia first!! :D

I got my Yoox order today, and I have a bone to pick with the Cucinelli lookbook ... the model is wearing my size or larger in the sweater, which is actuality is quite small. The pants look to be more what I'd expect--those are what I was a little worried about. Will try it all on tonight and see. The sweater may need to be layered?? Will see how much I like it. I was reading they have several Italian nuns who embroider for them ... not sure if they worked on this sweater, or if they just do the samples ... It would be nice to know :wink:

PS The sizing was right for both pieces, but the sweater was not flattering. Keeping the trousers ... returned the sweater today.

So quiet here ... is everyone in a shopping lull? :wink:

^Yes, it's not very exciting over here. :D Good for the budget!
My wishlist for the summer collections is dwindling rapidly because most things aren't that special anymore after a while waiting for them to show up in the stores or when seeing the product pics. :huh:

Yup, very quiet. My wishlist hasn't changed much. I still need a pair of black kick flare trousers, a white summer shirt and some occationwear. I haven't had any luck finding pieces I like so nothing to report.

I need a visit with my tailors :smile: The black jeans and grey trousers are both way too long, and I also want to get my ivory skirt tailored. Have my eye on a skirt to replace the sweater ...

yoox

Here's the skirt I've ordered ... I have a black cotton skirt I bought in 2007, but I don't like it very much and often wish I had a different one. If this works, I will :P

From the porsellis website, regarding their ballet flats: "This product will be produced especially for you. There is a 28-32 week waiting period."

* passes out *

Wow, how will they look? :buzz::mohawk:

Ta-ta, that is one pretty skirt! It goes with everything. I am looking for a similar one myself, but not sure about the material. I would like to wear it in Spring and Fall, as well as in Summer.

Jina, I wish that was the wish list for a custom ballerina but sadly that is the waiting list for the run of the mill black ballet flats from Porselli. Aparantely the guy who runs the company has not been able to expand the company to meet the demands:(

I'll try to remember taking a picture of the kimono!

The new pants look good too, Ta-ta. The skirt as well. It looks like a really flattering shape.

@Eizhowa: that sounds crazy :blink:

Quiet here as well. My next purchase should be a blazer, preferably something that can be belted, but I am having a really hard time finding anything I like. Seems like all jackets are bombers these day, and that is just not for me. It would be nice finding a blazer soon though - my fringe leather jacket is just not that approriate for work. Especially not for the cafeteria lunches :lol:

I think I have kinda given up on the Tango's/settled on buying a dupé. I love my patent boots but I am not really impressed about the way the patent is holding up, so I am not going to buy an expensive pair of patent shoes, I think. Also, albeit I actually feel like my bag-collection is in a very good place, I have fallen a little bit in love with the Mulberry Abbey, so if I am going to get spendy this year, I think I want to buy that instead (haven't seen it IRL yet though).

We may be similar-sized then :smile:

I have only purchased a couple of tops this year... looking both into overall saving and splurging on an upcoming UK trip :cool:

Betina, if you find a good dupe, remember to let me know where you found it :wink:

Barbaraa, I am so envious of your UK trip! I haven't been in ages.

Will do! Topshop has a pair that looks god shapewise and is patent, but they are pleather, and Bianco has a pair that looks good shapewise but is plain leather and not patent. I am thinking I will buy the latter.

Also, the dress you commented on on pinterest came back in stock so I ordered it. I am thinking it might work for the weddings I am attending later this year, if I have it hemmed to a knee-length.

Also, with the warmer weather (hopefully) approaching I need t-shirts, so I might pick up a few of those (I am thinking one statementy and one plain white) soon.

I haven't been shopping much lately either. Only some sportswear (leggings and trainers) and this knitted top from ADPT. I am probably going to Paris for the first time with my husband in May, so I have to save some spending money for the trip. ^_^

Thanks, floodette, Jina, and betina :flower:

betina, great dress! :woot: The high-low hemline seems to be very popular right now ... not sure you need to hem it? So beautiful as is ... I've felt a bit tempted to get a skirt with a hi-lo hemline, but I'm not sure about wearing it to work ...

Jina, what about tropical-weight wool or lined wool crepe? I've had skirts like that I could wear much of the year here, but I know your climate is rather different :wink: Maybe with special warm tights underneath? Our summers are quite hot and I hate to wear wool then unless I have to. Maybe you can find something in Paris! (I find it quite sad that I don't share a continent with Paris -_-)

The thing is, that the model is 1.76 meters tall and... I am not :wink: so yeah I think I have to. Also I am thinking it might be slightly overdressed as a maxi as both weddings are casual daytime wedddings like our own.

I think you can defintely do hi-low for work depending on the styling - and working environment ofc.

Betina, I think the ruffles and wrap element makes it more casual (and it is very summer-y). Are you sure hemming it to knee length is neccesary? I am sure it would look good at that length as well, but it is more special as a maxi dress. Maybe it can be hemmed to be a midi-dress?
