Pseudo-intellectualism and mediocre art, to be exact.
German magazines always seemed like a strong and steady market, but if you take a look at an average newsstand in the German-speaking countries, it's always piles of Elle and InStyle, whereas Vogue and Bazaar are somewhere on the side. So, I am personally not that surprised.
I'm trying to gather which months will be combined.. It might be January/February, March, April/May, June, July/August, September, October/November, December? Season-opening issues tend to have the most advertisements, so could it be this way? I'm also wondering will changes in design (and paper quality) be made. Can't wait to hear more.
According to the Condé Nast Germany website they will combine January/February, May/June and July/August issues. I'm curious about the changes too but I hope they stick to their big format.

Thanks for pointing out, @annikad. I just checked the media kits on the website, seems like Vogue will publish 9 issues for 2021, Glamour 6 and GQ only 4.
Here is, at least, to hoping that due to a decrease in quantity that there will be a huge increase in quality content within these combined issues of Vogue Germany.
I am secretly hoping that too. During the last two years I only found three or four issues of Vogue Germany worth keeping. Somehow many months it's either really good or a total miss.
In an era where pro-choice is widely celebrated, it baffles me how a celebrity’s preganancy is still celebrated as some sort of achievement. Like seriously, where are the profiles of celebrities who don’t want to have kids?
To be honest only few monthly mags should be actually monthly, the rest can do 6/8 issues a year...or try to make special issues....
Promotions over at British Vogue:
Apparently Raul Martinez is leaving Conde Nast. Also hearing he's leaving for Victoria Secret..
Thank God, he’s one of the worst.
