Linkedin post from Anna Znamensky ex-EIC of L'Officiel Austria. The licence holder she refers to also holds the licence for L'Officiel in Monaco and for the Cypriot edition which just ceased publication.

Of course it’s L’Officel. It’s their karma for shutting down jalouxgallery 😡😡😡

i-D magazine has tapped Jamie Reid as global creative director and Steff Yotka as global editorial director. Yotka and Reid will work alongside newly appointed editor-in-chief and chief brand officer Thom Bettridge to revive the cult publication, which was acquired by model and entrepreneur Karlie Kloss’ Bedford Media from Vice in November 2023.
Reid, who has served as art director at Dazed and Confused, Arena Homme+ and Pop magazine, will be charged with developing i-D’s new visual identity, while Yotka — who has worked at Vogue, Style.com and most recently as head of digital content at Ssense — will lead the magazine’s storytelling across print, digital and social. i-D will return to print on a bi-annual basis in March 2025. Its website relaunched in September with a digital cover featuring Charli XCX and Troye Sivan.

Does anyone know what happened with Elle Egypt? The print edition never released in September and Susan Sabet who was the EIC left the magazine in June.

Does anyone know which magazines prints in China and with what company?

Did anyone mention this, which has appeared on newsstand.co.uk? Harpers Bazaar Interieurs issue 1?

^ I saw that one on vacation, it's nothing special. The format is larger than regular French Bazaar.

Does anyone know what happened at L'Officiel Hong Kong? It only launched in March and then from June to August literally all the staff left the magazine including the EIC.

Odd. I would’ve thought Condé Nast would’ve had soemone in mind, like Sylvia Jorif who acted as editor when Eugenie Trochu was on maternity leave. She knows the magazine, and was there with Emmanuelle Alt.

I would've loved seeing Olivier Lalanne getting the job but that's not happening sadly.

honestly such a terrible development and defeats the point of having country-specific editions. But I've noticed some of the Asian Vogue covers (Philippines, Taiwan, Singapore) are better than the 'big' ones.

It's because they are only licensed (at least Vogue Philippines, not sure about the others) and not owned by Condé Nast, and therefore don't report to Anna. So I believe this means they have much more freedom and still retain things like the EIC title (rather than "Head of Editorial" or whatever).

I forgot about it but Pam boy is out at GQ and has been replaced few months ago by Claire Hazan (who has a better resume than this man).

Will see how things turn out.
