The end of skinny jeans

yeah..thats why i like the look so much , its refreshing too see girls trying a new look with wide leg jeans and slim tops...anyways my opinion is variety is spice of life , so wear different styles so you never get bored

I've only worn skinnyjeans for the past months, but wearing some looser right this moment, before i'm going out for dinner:

Loose, "boyfriend-style" straightlegs, bluegrey-ish shade by Diesel
Tight, grey cashmere u-neck - L.C.J cachimere
Two homemade bracelets, one "silver" and w/ beads
Shorter, custom-made silver necklace, very hard to describe.
lightbrown, alligatorskin belt - vintage
lightbrown, a little pointy formal shoes - ?

Actually feeling very comfortable in something other than skintight.

Well, skinny jeans is indeed not as fashionable/trendy as they were, but there the jeans that def. work best for me, as i tend to wear alot of oversized tee's, sweaters, shirts etc and then, i need something very skinny to balance it out. I don't like straightlegs, bootcut or flared, so to me, skinny is the only option. I'll wear them anyday anyway, fashionable or not.

agreed. I will continue to wear my skinnied even when they are "out". I really love them, and I am the same. I wear a lot of baggy tops so they suit me best. But the thing I am afraid of is them becoming chavvy :ninja: :innocent:  will they?!

I think that this is a good think, the people that suit them will continue to wear them and fat people will finally leave them alone as they will relaise they are unflattering for them!

sorry for the rant.

I don't think skinny jeans ever will become "chavvy", no. But it's a little like the white tee. It may look trashy, it may look elegant, it may look streety.

superfine has an amazing wide leg jean this s/s called the max. it is divine in a stone color that is basically black bleached to death.

I dont think skinny jeans will totally go out of fashion to be competely honest. Seven make the best skinny's or Topshop for a more affordable pair

I will carry on wearing my skinny jeans as I have done for years and I have found by trial & error that the look suits me best. I like to wear my jeans tucked into boots as I have done before, during and after it being a 'trend'. The best thing for me about the 'skinny jeans trend' is being able to buy jeans without having to alter them before wearing. When the shops don't stock them, my overlocker makes quick work of excess leg fabric.

gap has nice wide leg jeans right now, but i haven't tried them on yet...

the waist was higher than usual, but not super high.

I bought them...the trouser leg jean yeah ....they are really good material and sit on your natural waist , and the cut is nice too ...

I only have one pair of skinnies now; I sold my others on ebay, because I wasn't sure how long the "trend" would last.

I'll keep my one pair to wear tucked into boots ... I absolutely LOVE that look--in style or not.

Otherwise, I recently decided that boot cut or trouser jeans were the only style I'd wear.

Flared jeans look to "young" for me ... or should I say: for me to wear.

Right now Im loving skinny jeans & wide leg highwaist jeans. I have both & they are great for 2 totally different looks.
Boot cut & flares are ok for some but to me they are really  ... Im just not ready to go back there.

^I agree. I like the two extremies, everything in between is kindda blah. I like regular straight legs though, when they fit well. But yeah, bootcuts skeeve me out.

I only care for skinny, straight leg or bootcut jeans and I couldn't really give a sh*t if it weren't trendy or not.

:mohawk: my thoughts exactly!

same here

I don´t care for in or out I just have to feel comfortable
and for the moment in skinny jeans I do

i honestly have to say that my skinny long jeans are the only ones that i have absolutely lovvvvvved, i intend to keep them, fashionable or not

Skinny jeans simply must go out of fashion!

How else are they going to make a comeback in a couple of years?
