Skinny jeans for men... Coming to an end?

I've already noted that I don't think skinny jeans will go extinct for men. They are certainly NOT dead for women. This is a here-to-stay style for men. Maybe more designers should make skinny jeans for men mainstream or have more designers make quality skinny jeans for men who can't work the baggy fit or any other jeans more appointed to average and plus size men than skinny types.

Part of fashion and being fashionable is comfort. Even when the huge platform shoes of the '70s were hot in their day, it's still about comfort at the end of the day. I don't think guys who comfortably wear skinny fit jeans should be left out from the general landscape of mainstream fashion. While I mostly follow women's fashion, I still think us guys should be well appointed in great fashions whether casual or formal. The thing I'd hate most for you guys wearing skinny jeans is for most designers to completely shy away from skinny jeans and only cater to average guys with average builds as part of some marketing initiative. I can say in complete optimism that skinny jeans aren't going anywhere. Maybe more stores and designers should offer such jeans to compliment the figures of men whose best fit are with skinny jeans. Skinny jeans aren't going anywhere negative. Fear not, guys.

Are they dying? Skinny Jeans

I just got some black skinny jeans. Im a guy n I usually wear an indie/fashionisto kinda look. Do u think skinny jeans r dying though? shud I return them??

well skinny jeans were always there worn by rockers and punks , it was underground until the early 2002-3 , the look was picked up by a few fashionistas and it became mainstream in 2005 in Europe , On the vast majority of men though , they look hideous and too EMO. I think a slim straight leg on a rocker looks nice but a full on skinny jean looks silly and gross. I agree with victoria beckham in that boys look best in loose baggy jeans , there is something cool and nonchalant about a guy in them .

^^^^those are baggy jeanson becks not straight legs , VB looks hot as usual , luv her...

yeah jeans like that on guys ............soooo sexy.....

maybe our definition of baggy is different...but anyhoo...that fit is how my jeans looks on me.

I work in the denim business ,thats not a classic straight leg , but a loose straight leg which is called "baggy" , a 501 levis is your classic straight leg.

I think guys of a waifish figure will always look good in skinny jeans. I personally think baggy jeans look hideous on skinny guys. I used to wear bootcuts (i'm a guy) but I can't stand the look of them now, funny how much my perception towards them changed in the last 5-6 years. Also if your upper body isn't in proportion with your lower body they look look quite funny as well. There is this guy I see around my town that has a very muscular upper body and has very very skinny legs, and he looks like some cartoon character or something with his skin tight Cheap Mondays on with his skin tight muscle top.. LOL. So baggy jeans would suit him alot better imo. At the end of the day skinny jeans will always be in fashion and look good for waifs IMO!

I'm not really fond of baggy jeans (or trousers in general), I prefer skinnies or straight leg. It really depends on someone's body type, I guess.

Seems American men have always worn baggy unshapely jeans whether they are hitched up to their armpits or falling off their #ss. The few that wear anything else are always tagged as emo, gay or foreign.
I've worn various versions of skinny during most of the late 70's (as a kid), 80's and even 90's(albeit with slight flaring).
I DESPISE BAGGY 90's silhouettes. Stuff comfort, where is the style?
Things like that are basically lifestyle choices not fads.
At least the young boys these days ooze style unlike the whole of hip hop, rave, and grunge nonsense that have dulled my senses for over 10 yrs.

There goes my science teacher with the skinny jeans is bad for our balls.

Gabba gabba hey!

:P

drop crotch. box pleats. Rolled bottoms. formal shoes, no socks, no laces. Only way to go this summer.

i think the skinnys are not dead.
you can wear it in so many ways. and it´s just looking more "dressed".

everybody should have some different styles in their closets. some skinnys some wide pants with pleats or chinos (tuck them up). whatever, wear what you like. and the designer also are showing different styles.

as jil showed us in a/w 08 there will be more skinny jeans. i think it just became a basic!!!
