Its soooo uncomfortable watching Brody and Audrina flirt or whatever they were doing. I was cringing the whole time.
Confirming that they’ll be moving ahead with a new season without Lauren Conrad, it has been confirmed that Audrina Patridge and the gang will be back for another season of “The Hills” this fall.
According to a breaking announcement from MTV, the show’s regulars including Miss Patridge, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Stephanie Pratt, Lo Bosworth, Justin Bobby and Brody Jenner will all be taking part - along with a few “fresh faces.” "Spencer and Heidi will be newlyweds, so the stakes are higher than ever before for the two to make things work. Viewers will find out life in Los Angeles only gets more complicated as friendships, relationships and loyalties are tested like never before,” MTV tells in their statement.
And while the loss of Miss Conrad will definitely change things up, the remaining cast members aren’t getting too panicked.
When asked whether she thinks the show will continue to be successful, Audrina replied: “Yes, we’re like family to our audience.”
I don't believe she is crawling to take over for LC on the hills, it seems to me the producers and execs of MTV want her. Personally I'd rather watch Kristin over LC anyday. At least the girl knows how to entertain her audience, not like boring LC.
Anyhow, I love how she looks. She's been looking very pretty lately.
^Sorry, but I must digress. If Lauren was really boring to watch, how would she manage to have one of the most viewed and successful show on MTV.
When did the Hills become popular? During season 3 and who made season 3 interesting? Speidi, it wasn't LC. TBH I was excited when the 3rd season came round, LC had the potential to actually have some personality but she fluked couple of episodes in because it was the same song she kept singing. That's boring to me. And as for Kristin trying to take over LC's show, LC seems to love Kristin's leftovers... You guys do know the Hills was offered to her first and she passed up on it? Anyhow like I said this isn't the thread to discuss this.![]()
Every statement from this quote is absolutely FALSE. If you are going to make statement like "You guys do know the Hills was offered to her first and she passed up on it?" Please provide the link to where it was stated... because it is totally UNTRUE.
Both Lauren and Kristin were popular off Laguna... but Adam Divello really liked Lauren... He liked the fact that she was able to show emotions thru her facial expressions... it made for good story telling or the way HE liked to tell his story with special lighting, faces, looks, places... almost everything about his work is about the image (or used to be).
It would not suprised me if the producers did indeed offer Kristin her own show... it is not like MTV could not have finance both spin-offs. Last year, they gave spin-offs to both Brody and Whitney. But the premise of The Hills would never have worked with Kristin since she was already all Hollywood then. Plus, I think MTV knew that Lauren resonated with a huge percentage of females her age.
The Hills popularity started growing mid-way thru season 2... it peaked in season 3 and slowed down in the 4th season and now it is at its nadir with just a couple million viewers. All the popular storylines in season 3 had to do with Lauren... her friendship with Heidi, her romance with Brody (that viewers could not get enough of), Jason returning and getting engaged, etc... The best lines that people quote from the show are from Lauren. The highest rated episode EVER (the Paris trip) main plotline was hers. This season has been more focus on Speidi ... and the viewership dropped significantly.
You should really get your facts straight before making ridiculous statements.
Back on topic, Kristin looks great in that dress but her face is off... not sure why though... maybe its the straight hair or the loss of her pride LOL
Well before the Hills came along, season 2 of LB was the most watched series on MTV, I wonder why that was?
As for providing a link, just watch Kristin's THS and you'll find it there. The only reason LC got the Hills was because of Kristin turning down her offer for the show. So please don't insult my intelligence by telling me to get my facts straight... I know when I make false statements and when not and I'll be the first to put my hands up and say I'm wrong if you prove otherwise.

Three years ago, Ms. Conrad was one of eight well-to-do teenagers chosen to star in ''Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County,'' which chronicled the daily lives of the young and indulged in Southern California. The show became a huge success, and MTV placed a bet that ''Laguna'' fans would want to watch Ms. Conrad navigate her charmed post-high-school life in a spinoff. She has left home and attends fashion school in Los Angeles, where she shares a luxury apartment with Ms. Montag, and has landed a coveted internship at Teen Vogue.
'' 'The Hills' is to 'Laguna Beach' what 'Melrose Place' was to 'Beverly Hills 90210,' '' said Tony DiSanto, one of the show's executive producers. ''But it wasn't like we said, 'Hey, we need a spinoff. Let's come up with something.' We just thought it would be cool to watch as L.C. entered into this new phase in her life.''

Seriously, Zposen, is it that difficult to express an opinion without making personal insults? Childish.
ladygodiva, you have great points. The Hills wouldn't have happened if Kristin hadn't turned down the offer, Lauren should be thanking Kristin because she wouldn't be who she is today without that.
