it adds too much weight to her frame. her boobs are too much.

You can tell someone's stitched the v-neck on Jill's dress to close a little higher and give her twins more coverage, however it's too obvious that it's been done. That dress is wrong in so many ways: still, she's holding a Grammy so wtf would she care what I think? LOL

p.s. are MG and GM sisters? They really look like each other if not. Can I also say that Camryn looks about 10 years younger somehow in that photo? Usually losing weight off the face ages you, but not her!

Naah, MG and GM are not sisters to my knowledge.
Cam does look younger. She's also got a little boy, so I suspect running after him keeps her youg.
And you're right about Jill -- she's got a Grammy and makes substantial, subtle music.

And I'm sorry. I will not post a photo of Aretha Franklin because I stan for the Queen of Soul and I am not feeling her dresses, even though I suspect they are couture.

Jordin looks great, she has really been wearing some nice outfits lately.

OK I am a fan of Jennifer Hudson but so many times when I see her I want to say "Put on a bra" she has a large chest and could really use more support.

There is one thing wrong with Jill Scott's outfit. Everything. She's a beautiful woman - whoever put her in that monstrosity should be shot.

I agree Luxx on the comments regarding J. Hud.

I think Chandra looks great above. So does Jordin except for the fact that I can see her spanx in the bottom shot. oh well. she looks fab regardless

I think Jill was wearing Igigi. I'm sort of lukewarm about them -- I know the line has its fans (see teenager Nicole Blonsky), but if I were a stylist putting my full-figured celebrity client in eveningwear, I'd rather do Tadashi, Sunny Choi, Carmen Marc Valvo or Bradley Bayou.

J-Hud does need more support for the girls. I saw her in the new InStyle in a coral Michael Kors dress (damn him...it probably won't trickle down to the Michael line) and the zungs weren't saggy.

And now for some completely different style from the Brit Awards

Beth Ditto

I love her choices. I know a lot of people attack her style because her stage clothes are very out there, but her I love her personal choices most of the time. I guess people also trash her because she wears things "big girls aren't supposed to wear", which I acutally love. The second dress looked amazing on screen too, way better than in pictures.

I don't like this one as much because I think its a little bland for an awards show but its not a bad outfit in general

I like Ms. Ditto's second dress. Adele's nicely groomed but I think perhaps a touch too casual for the red carpet.

^I like the first Brit awards dress on Beth much more than the other dress she wore - the sparkly Julien MacDonald dress wasn't my cup of tea. This is much much cuter - I love those colors! Very fun.

Supposedly last seasons Paige Premium jeans are on sale at Nordstrom Rack if anyone is close to one. I just got a pair the other day and they're really out of this world.

Saks is stealing a page from Nordstrom and enlisting James Jeans for a line of premium denim just for Saks. They look OK to me - the first pair seems nice.

I feel like Saks is trying to make Salon Z just a little hipper - Alice & Trixie are doing a line of dresses & tops with them as well.

What aggravates me is that these lines are only available at the selected stores - it would be better if they were at all stores where those designers were sold. I pre-ordered one of the Alice & Trixie dresses, some of the things look quite cute - other things were a bit too busy for my liking.

I think maybe they do selected stores for the line because they want to see the response. I'm fortunate because I live in SoCal and have relatively easy access to Beverly Hills and South Coast Plaza. Saks doesn't have Salon Z in every store, and I'm especially peeved because it's not in San Diego (my hometown).

Back to subject: I like the dark wash on the first pair of the James Jeans, and the third pair is fine. The second pair is a bit pale for me. I'm strictly a medium-dark to dark wash, bootcut/trouser jeans person, mainly because of the stark size difference between my waist and hips. Skinnies aren't my cup of tea.

I like the first pair and I love both outfits Beth is wearing, but the sparkly the most. I can't help it, I'm like a magpie.

Being apple shaped makes it so difficult to find attractive outfits at times. Either way, cardigans are my friends :) It seems that everything is catered to pear shapes in fashion.

I think I'm going to pre-order the James Jeans from Saks. I'm on my second pair of Paige's and I really wish they had more styles  I move between never wanting to wear jeans ever again and being a denim junkie. Right now I'm in denim overdrive and I can't get enough. I need to get myself to Nordstrom Rack to see if they have the last season stuff but the store is a little inconvenient for me. They should keep it in the mall near the actual Nordstrom but I suppose that would just make it too easy.

I go back and forth on light denim. I used to be all about the deep dark shades and I still am but I feel like I'm going to want more light colors for spring - or just for really casual situations.

Thoughts on J.Huds Oscar ensemble. The consensus seems to be overwhelmingly negative but I don't mind it. She wasn't my best dressed of the evening but I wouldn't put her in the worst dressed category either. The dress was nice but had a few issues I thought. I love the snakeskin detailing - I thought that was an unusual and unique touch.

I actually kind of like her dress at the Oscars. I think the bottom half of the dress looks lovely, but the chest area looks kind of awkward and unflattering to me. But overall I think she looks beautiful. ^_^

yeah I thought people were too negative on her dress. It did make her chest area a bit oblong but overall i thought she looked great. And I love beth ditto in that sparkly dress as well. I think plus sized people are over told to steer clear of that sort of thing but I actually think it flatters either the very slender or plus sized the most. When you're in between it kind of shows every awkward bump but when you get to be plus sized I actually find that it reflects the light a lot and thus there are no awkward bumps and it gives the illusion of actually a flatter even surface. I'm not even sure if what I"m saying is making sense, just that I find it flattering, and I think beth ditto in that dress is proof of this!
