They remind me of a clunky version of John Fluevog pumps--which a lot of people think are pretty clunky themselves but which my SO just loves.

Of course since they are shoes she is already disposed to love them....

mm, the shoes posted just above mine by echoes is probably a creative project piece, I just really couldn't see anyone in the streets walking with them on! I don't think its ugly, but its certainly unusual...
