The X-Factor 2009 ... Do not post stills from the show or Rex Features (copyrighted)

^ Don't mean to be rude regarding you're question, but do the themes really matter anymore, as they just sing almost whatever the hell they want.:rolleyes:

Queen week= simon manipulation again.
It's basically Rock week all over again, and set up so his acts can shine.
Rock= Jamie
Performance= Olly
shouting, big voice = Danyl.

He is so obvious it's not funny. Stacey and Joe will struggle with this.

I don't think Joe will at all struggle.. No doubt he'll be given something like 'Who Wants To Rule The World'. Queen's made for him pretty much. He's very musical theatre, and Queen have a whole stage show!

I think the whole thing is one big fat farce... they always do that around 4-5th week... i think this is their own way to wind up the public and concentrate whole attention of X Factor... remember last year when Laura White was voted off... they even spoke about it in the House of Commons... I just think it is a way to manipulate with public ... the whole X Factor does not make sense to me... I am not particularly into pop music even though I like it... and I think it is a shame that the bands like JLS are getting number ones in this country... a very good evidence what good publicity can make and how it can destroy musical taste... and at the end of the day when people are judged by Checryl who let's face t can't sing ... and when she gets number ones... anyway... I am not going to watch it and not because I am angry with Simon , I just realised that the whole things is a complete crap... it does not support talent... they did not even invite Laura to their show because all they care about is money and not supporting talent...

I agree, I've never bought any X factor songs, despite unknowingly being able to remember the lyrics. The music just doesn't really appeal to me.

The only act really appreciate from entire X-Factor - Pop Idol experience...is Will Young...

This week's songs -

John and Edward Grimes: Rap mix of Under Pressure/Ice Ice Baby

Olly Murs – Don’t Stop Me Now

Jamie Archer: Radio Gaga

Danyl Johnson: We Are The Champions

Lloyd Daniels – Crazy Little Thing Called Love

Joe McElderry- Somebody To Love

Stacey Solomon: Rumours suggest I Want To Break Free but let’s hope it isn’t Don’t Stop Me Now. She didn’t make a great job of that track in the video below.

We Are The Champions. Ah. Another nice set of long, big, belted out notes, air grabs, fist shaking during the big long, big, belted out notes, all finished off with a smile containing far too much teeth and a whole lot of ego.

No doubt.

Isn't it.

And they're obviously struggling with Stacey's song choice. I can't think of any Queen tracks that suit her. She is pathetic anyway with all that hammed-up airhead thing. Imagine a recording artist coming across like that. It just doesn't wash. Another failure of Danni's management to get rid of it and make her cooler.

I think Simon has decided long ago that his part of the market would become overcrowded by female acts if one were to win this year. And he's not well pleased with Danni over the seating squabble. So yes, this week's being geared up against Stacey.

I have taken a ridiculously big price on the exchanges - Stacey to go.

Ah Jamie will sound like a strangled cat doing that song.

Agreed. Stylistically there are probably better Queen songs for Jamie. It is, I think though, a wise choice. It's got that moronic chant element that this audience will go for. They are after all a bunch of..

Beg to differ Honey. I think he'll be stretched.

Joe is a very different type of 'musical theatre' than was Freddie. If you get my drift. He needs to grow a pair.

I hate knowing the song choices before the show. Could you start to post them in white or something? :doh:

The X-Factor starts again tonight in just under an hours time anyway im not impressed by Ollys song

YAY its started before the contestants started to sing Simon kinda apologized for sending home Lucie last week but anyway back to the episode the first to sing was Jaimie

Jaimie - got the crowd going but had an aotdinary voice compared to the other acts

Wow, Lloyds performance really surprised me. That was pretty good.

comercial break on now currently second to sing is Lloyd

Lloyd - did his best performance but Simon said he was like a puppy at the grand national

Simon must be trying to get rid of Jamie, by allowing him to go out and perform that particular song, because the end result was awful. Maybe it was chosen because there's not a great deal of acrobatic singing involved - it's more of a chant - but it still fell so flat. It's not difficult to get the crowd clapping along to such a famous song, so I can't even say that was a redeeming factor.
