This End Up - How to Wear Avant Garde Designs

laika, when I saw that I wondered if it was the one that you were talking about...it's such a stunner and even a bit fragile looking. I had no idea it just slips over the head but I like that idea.

looks like they tied the two pieces back to back to make more of a poncho than a capelet...
that's an interesting idea...
looks more like the runway that way...
i didn't think of that...
and isn't that why it's laying flat...?
there isn't anything under it in the back the way they tied or wrapped it...

*ps- i know- yoox prices are a little out of control at the moment...:ermm:...
...

Thanks wiw!

Lucky.........sometimes i wish I could just slip it on over my head, but the style is actually identical to softgrey's--ties, buttons, armhole, etc. The fabric is a bit bulkier though--it doesn't drape like the jersey. That's why I'm having a hard time with it.

Did you see that colorful, rosette-ful one on yoox? It's amazing.

Back to back? Hmmmm....what do you mean, softie? I need to try that....

did you figure it out laika?...
i mean not on top of one another but around the body...

Thanks softie, i see what you are saying know! I will work on it today and let you guys know. :flower:

i know...
it's kind of odd...
i don't know if i would have though of that on my own actually...
strange for yoox to actually do something right for a change...:innocent:

...

i figured out what to wear my Y's jumper with finally!...one year later!...

:bounce:...

the new boots work really well with it!...

...

lucky-

i think your jumper/skirt might look really lovely with something loose and romantic actually...
something like the TAO spring stuff...

...

very pirate=y...:argg:

so-
i took my own advice...
i was def inspired by the last look of the tao spring 08 show....^_^

Looks really cute, softie, I like that. What is the back of that jumper like--does it criss cross?

It's so great that you're getting a lot of use out of that IM blouse....it can be hard to find those things that are basic enough for layering, but still interesting enough to work on their own.

Personally, I would wear the jumper exactly as it's shown in the pic, with a long sleeved button down...but definitely put your hair up, maybe in a ponytail or something?

why hair up?..
to show the criss cross...?
i don't know..
i think i need my hair down to soften up the whole thing...
as it was i overheard some not so lovely remarks as i was walking down the street...
:ermm:

some loserface dude remarked to his friend...
'look- a black cat just crossed our path'...
......

*now- being called a black cat is not the worst thing i can think of...
i actually kind of like it...^_^...
but he clearly did not mean it to be a compliment...

of course mr fashion police was all decked out in ripped jeans and an old t-shirt himself...
so whatever...

i can only hope that i have brought him many years of bad luck by crossing his path...
:meow:...:P

i bet he just fell in love with you at first sight and didnt want to embarass himself in front of his buddy......

men are strange creatures...
but you look beautiful...

..

the IM shirt is definitely seeing a LOT of action...
it's one of those things that suddenly makes a lot of other things come together in your wardrobe...
it definitely filled an empty space...
a space i am not even sure i knew needed to be filled...
the riding boots seem to be doing that as well...

i don't really wear man tailored shirts like that...
with such narrow shoulders, the tailored fit is never really very good on me...
plus- i have to confess...
i think part of the challenge for me is finding a way to make it uniquely my own...adding my own 'something' that makes it 'softgrey' rather than 'yohji'...
i guess i don't HAVE to do that...but i WANT to...
it makes it all the more fun for me!...
it's like a game i play with myself...and i like the challenge...
:P

Hey...black cat...I meant, wear your hair up if you were wearing it with a button down shirt...:P

I see what you are saying though, the blouse definitely softens it up and makes it more like you. Especially with the long hair...

I adore tailored shirts, personally--I find them very sexy--but they are very difficult to find...and my shoulders are plenty square but still pretty narrow. I just love the way the shirt in the Yohji pic poofs out around the criss cross....it's a bit school girl, really.
