Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes

my gay male friends told me tom cruise was gay more than 12 years ago, based on actual "sightings" (haha), so i tend to believe it. maybe he is not comfortable with it though - maybe it's against scientology beliefs or something:

so, let's say scientology promises to "cure" tom cruise of his troubling homosexuality - get him a wife and make everything okay. in return, they will continue to get millions of dollars from him, assuming he can still make that kind of money after all this.

because i think that, all joking aside, something does seem to have snapped in his psyche - or he's a better actor than i thought. and what bad company to be in if you have need of real psychological care - a cult that doesn't believe in psychology, but DOES believe that you can be "cleared" from your real problem (possession by man loving aliens, in tom's case), if you only donate a few million more dollars. marry a little "virgin" starlet (who might not notice your lack of passion in the bedroom, or might be paid to look the other way) to keep up appearances while we zap those homo-aliens out of your soul....

or maybe he's come to terms with his homosexuality, and is just trying desperately to keep the world from catching on.

Rob Thomas Speaks out

From imdb.com:

Matchbox 20 frontman Rob Thomas has rubbished reports he had sex with Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise - and is even more mortified he's been labeled a fellow Scientologist. The singer is horrified by claims he was caught in bed with the War Of The Worlds star and has finally spoken out to end the rumors. But he's even more offended by reports he's joined Cruise and other followers of L. Ron Hubbard's Church Of Scientology, which has been labeled a "cult" by some critics. He says, "If I were gay, Tom wouldn't be on the top of my list...It would be Brad Pitt. I'm more offended by the rumors saying I'm Scientologist."

That's awesome! Now I have a tiny crush on Rob Thomas (not b/c he prefers Pitt) but b/c he has such a good sense of humor about it. SO CUTE!

Homosexuality is against Scientology beliefs. . . but hey if it cures him of his dyslexia (like he claims) why not his love for the Y chromosome. All you need is some of his special vitamins and sunshine. . .then everyone will be jumping on couches declaring their love for Katie Holmes as well.

Although, I can't believe I'm defending Tom Cruise here, I can see why if he was gay he wouldn't want it to come out. He is a very bankable star due to his sex appeal, and his ability to play a leading heart-throb, his stock would plummet if he came out. . .and it he would be type cast into "gay roles".

SAY IT AGAIN, TOM

July 13, 2005 -- HOW do Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes love each other? Let us count the ways. Well, not that many ways, it turns out.

Though the "smitten" duo has blabbed plenty to the media about their romance, a close look at their rantings reveals they haven't said a whole lot.

Rather, they tend to stick tightly to a script drawing heavily on a few choice words: "extraordinary," "love" and "amazing" among them. Are they being coached?

No comment from the couple's publicist, who was in Rome yesterday, where Cruise was filming "Mission Impossible 3," with an adoring Holmes close by. Read the following interview excerpts and draw your own conclusions

How happy is Katie? "Really happy," she gushed, at the "Batman Begins" L.A. premiere. "I don't care, I'm so happy," she told People. "I mean, I'm just so happy," she confessed to W magazine. "I love celebrating our happiness." "I'm very, very happy," she crowed at the "Batman Begins" London premiere, then drove the point home for the British women's Web site Female First, "I'm very happy. Very, very happy - the happiest I've ever been. I've never been happier." Tom's happy too. "I can't restrain myself," he told Matt Lauer on "Today." "I'm really happy."

Are her feelings complicated?

"I'm totally in love... I just love loving him," Katie told People. "I'm so in love," she revealed at the "Batman Begins" premiere in New York. "I'm so in love with Tom," she went on to tell London's Evening Standard. "I love him," she told W.

Are they meant for each other?

"He's my man! He's my man!" Katie shrieked to W, when a jewelry gift from Cruise arrived. "My woman! My woman!" Cruise whooped on "Oprah.''

Is there anything out of the ordinary about these two?

"She's extraordinary!" exclaimed Cruise, on his now-famous "couch-jumping" episode of "Oprah.'' "She's an extraordinary woman." How do you say ''extraordinary'' in Italian? Well, saying it in English works, even if you're in Rome. "She is an extraordinary woman," he said, at the David di Donatello 2005 ceremonies in Italy. Holmes reciprocates this sentiment. "He's extraordinary. . . amazing," she said, in an interview with the Inquirer News Service, a news service in the Phillipines. She also used the word "amazing" in People and London's Evening Standard. Apparently, the feeling is mutual. "This woman is amazing. She's just, you know, amazing," he told Oprah.

Who wears the pants in this relationship?

"He's made my life," Holmes said at the "Batman" premiere in Los Angeles. "I would be honored to work with Tom," she told People. "That would be such an honor. Such an honor," she gushed to W. "It's a pleasure and a privilege to be with him."

When asked about a possible role for her in "Mission Impossible 3," she told the Inquirer News, "My role is going to be to pull my chair right behind the monitor and watch and support my man." "He's my hero," she told Female First.

Tom's a funny guy.

"He made me laugh like I've never laughed before," Holmes told People. "He makes me laugh like I've never laughed," she shared with W.

So what's he really like?

"He is the most loving, generous man . . . he wants to help people," Holmes explained in her W magazine interview. "He's generous," she told People. No arguments from Cruise there. "I help a lot of people," told Oprah. ". . . you know, I'm kind of known for that."

Isn't Tom ever at a loss for words?

"It's that thing where you just - in life, when it just happens, Matt. You know? It just - you meet someone. And it's - I can't even describe it." That's, er, extraordinary, Tom.

wow... it's like
katie has been brain-washed or something

like there's some evil hollywood cult tom is in or something.. aah

Superstar Dakota Fanning is proudly walking around with a new accessory, after Tom Cruise bought her a mobile phone for her 11th birthday.

Fanning celebrated her big day on February 23 as she and Cruise promoted their new hit movie 'War of the Worlds', and she was thrilled when the actor gave her something she'd long been asking her parents for.

She says, "Tom gave me a cell phone, so that was really cool. My mom and dad wouldn't let me have a cell phone but Tom got me one for my birthday!

"It's really funny, 'cause on my cell phone I pretend that I'm on the phone when I'm not and I'll pretend that I have messages when I'm just out on the street."

Gee, I'm sure her parents just loooved that. . .. .they wouldn't let her have a phone, so good guy Tom Cruise buys her one instead. . . ugh, how rude.

He probably has secret Scientology messages hidden in it to brainwash the poor girl.

I just love her! She's so adorabel ("i pretend i'm checking messages on the street")^_^

Um but yeah, Way to go Cruise! I'd be pissed if I were her parents!

That is seriously rude and not his place to get her things that her parents disaprove of (which is probably why she is such a cute little girl...b/c her parents are teaching her values). Geeze, just when I thought I couldn't dislike him more...

*sigh* I'm sure Tom thought that he was being the cool older brother type by going behind the backs of Dakota's parents by buying her a cell phone.

As already said by NOE, it was not Tom's place to buy Dakota something her parents have decided that a young girl should not have.

Oh Tom....

maybe he didn't know her parents didn t want her to have one? he's a parent himself, you know. i bet dakota fanning knows how to get what she wants......

"gee, tom, what a cool cell phone!!!"
"you want one? sure, dakota! here!!"

^^^ You make a good point Meme. Perhaps Tom didn't know & really if her parents do not want her with a cell phone I am sure that they will just take it from her. It isn't that deep ya know. :flower:

Lol @ the little skit. Too cute.

That is true. . . .and I mean, the couple hundred bucks (at most) it would cost for a cellphone is chump change for a star like Tom. He probably should have asked her parents first, but he probably wasn't trying to be a deliberate a-hole.

On another note, this is one of my Mother's pet peeves. . . .when I was a little girl she had the same problem with my paternal grandmother. Whenever she wouldn't allow us to have something, my brother and I would go to her and get it. She loved us because my brother was the first male grandchild born, and I looked exactly like her (still do today!) and so she would spoil us rotten. That's actually how I got my first kitten. . . something my Mom expressly forbade me having :innocent:

Maybe he's already working on Dakota to make her his #th wife in the long run, you know? :shifty:

I think this whole relationship is so messed up. They were dating for like 5 minutes and now they are getting married. Next, she's gonna get knocked up and Tom is gonna leave her onto someone younger.... ew

wow now the dakota issue. I guess her parents will simply pretend that........ooh its nothin i mean its Tom Cruise!
Man that review of the relationship is really baddd!love it
I can now see a very major beniffer happening only that here its a tomlmes!

This may be true...But I still dislike him and would like to think it's all apart of some plan to brainwash and corupt the little girl :p

Poor Katie has been completely brainwashed. This whole fiasco is so very disturbing... Tom deserves to go to jail for this, no kidding.

Umm....she's eding onto 27. Methinks she's a WOMAN who can think for herself. Why would he go to jail? Is there a law against a man approaching a woman with a plan for how they should get positive publicity through an arranged marriage, a few movies together and a pleasant home life? I bet it's a 5-7 yr contract and that she'll get out of it wealthy, more famous and alive. Of course, it's somewhat disquieting that she's changed her personality. But she's a grown up. It's her own choice...He should have thought about NOT firing his publicist and choosing a better actress for a fiance for hire...She's not convincing anybody and I wonder how long she can go along with this. It seems like she's struggling right now - he might soon have a close encounter with a woman in desperate need of mind altering substances....
