why would that be embarrassing? they aren't strippers or prostitutes and have done nudity for their acting only in high caliber projects- nicole for "the blue room" on broadway, katie for "the gift" directed by sam raimi costarring cate blanchett and penelope for what exactly i don't recall but she is pretty well- thought of and not a sleazy type.
i don't think they or tom cruise are prudish so i don't think any of that is a factor.

I don't think any of his girlfriends are "mediocrely beautiful"- they're just beautiful. I'd say Nicole was the most beautiful, then Katie, then Penelope, but that's just my opinion. I'm not a huge fan of screen nudity, but I think it is more respectable than being a playboy centerfol or a stripper. All of their nude scenes were in high caliber, artistic projects. And he was already married to Nicole when she got naked in "the blue room".

There's a fine line. If Tom thinks it's okay why does he have a no nudity clause and never been naked in a movie? It is very rarely called for. It is just my personal opinion but I lose respect for an actress who is constantly naked. It's HER that is naked not the character then it is on the internet and is used for one thing.

sorry but your point doesn't make much sense considering the women we are talking about and it is speculation in the first place to think tom cruise chooses who he is going to be with based on your theory.

Katie Holmes was only nude in "The Gift", and I think Penelope has only done it in one or two movies also. Considering they have all been in many films, I would say that the majority were done fully cloathed. They are not "constantly naked". I also think that most of the nudity we see on screen is a bit gratuitous, but I do also think that it can be seen as a statement of an actress' dedication to a role. As for Tom not doing nudity, that is HIS personal choice, the choice of his gilfriend/wife belongs to HER as it is her body. Plus, there is far less call for male nudity in films.

i just don't think these bits of nudity have anything to do with their personal dating lives. that is silly.

MISSION Impossible star Tom Cruise's stunning new girlfriend says she is a virgin.

Dawson's Creek star Katie Holmes, 26, has told pals she's saving herself for Mr Right.

Tom, 42, and the TV babe yesterday admitted they are an item.

The new golden couple are currently enjoying a romantic getaway in Italy, where Tom is scheduled to receive the David di Donatello lifetime achievement award for his contribution to cinema this weekend.

Katie, 26, announced her split from fiance Chris Klein in February, while Tom amicably parted with Spanish lover Penelope Cruz last year and had reportedly been dating Latina model Sofia Vergara.

I generally don't believe the sun either, but it is possible that this is true. A lot more girls than you'd think save sex for marriage even in a long relationship (nick and jessica were together for 4 years). Some guys do the same thing- it's not necesarily religious or anything, just wanting to keep sex really special. And I think guys are more capable of waiting than we give them credit for. This really had nothing to do w/ Kaite/Chris/Tom, but I'm just saying there are 26 year old virgins out there. It isn't completely infeasable.
