Well, in that case, they're a perfect couple! I'm probably in the minority, but I actually like her more than him. I am a fan of her, but not so much Tom in these latter years...

I have to admit, I'm blindsided by this!

I don't think it's gross, though. Sure there's an age gap, but Katie Holmes does seem like a genuine person which is rare and she's seems wise beyond her years...

My theory on Tom is that he dates an up and coming actress and breaks up with them when they get to be stars of equal caliber to him. Maybe he'll prove me wrong on this one but it does seem to fit the pattern he set with Nicole and Penelope...

i agree with you!
i think she has never went the real cheesy Hollywood route and has always flown way under the radar so that is why some are thinking she is boring.
first off, that tv series was filmed in N. Carolina so she lived there and i think she lives in NYC and has never lived in LA and she had one long serious relationship so i don't think she is boring b/c just b/c i know nothing of her real life.
i saw her as an older actress when i watched the Sam Raimi film "the gift"- she is not so squeaky clean in that one and the creepy "abandon" that was written for her by the writer of "traffic" is surprisingly good...she was in "the ice storm" too...i think she is a very intelligent, good actress who is slowly building her career and i respect that...i think she is far too cool for Tom...i hope he doesn't try to pull her to the scientology side of things...i can see how he can be very magnetic but his forced belly laugh is very jarring to me.
and yeah, i think people think she is so young b/c she was on that show but she is only 4 years younger than penelope...he seems like a young 40...i thought billy bob and angelina were far more disturbing at least these two look attractive together
she is like a foot taller than him though

What the couple. I would never have guessed, but... I can actually see these two together. He's hot, she's hot... and she has always acted mature for her age, so I can actually see this relationship happening. They both seem easy-going and freespirited. Of course I don't know them personally, but I just see this clicking.
