Tracy Anderson Method

I'm on day 5 of her metamorphosis series...like everyone says the cardio is kind of crazy but I just blast some good music and try not to land to hard. I do get worried I might injure myself. Day 3 and 4 my calves were so sore/tight I had to take a break. I burn like 800-900 calories with the Transform and Cardio workouts combined each day. I'm gonna continue though and see what happens... oh and like Fabulyss I am not planning on following that diet plan.

Hipcentric has done wonders for me on all hip-thigh area and my butt is definitely more toned.

Maybe you should slow down a bit or take a walk for 30 mins before the workout.

is it really that good? i think it is quite expensive, so i'd like to know if it's worth it.

the sitting arms video? It's short but very effective. i use it as my warm up for the mat arm section.

Just to add to the injury list ... I did her legs workout from Iron Man (videos on Youtube) a couple of times, and it completely screwed up my back. Like I'm talking serious, week-long back spasms and constant hot-pad application and anti-spasm medication

I've done Pilates for 4 years, yoga for 7, so I am not totally clueless when it comes to being careful about hyper-extensions, and i know not to push too hard when starting a new routine.

Before my back blew out, I was enjoying the workout though. I would just recommend being veeeery careful and not overdoing the movements...they are very effective with minimal exertion and you don't really need to try and overdo it.

After reading all the comments here I decided to try TA. I'm on my 3rd day and LOVE it!
I obviously can't see any changes yet but I can feel them...if that makes sense?? Just kind of like everything is tighter or something.

I've been doing the sitting arms youtube video for warmup then the youtube videos for the Tracy Anderson workout and then the Ab webisode. I can get through it ok although I'm finding it hard to figure out the movements at the end of the Ab webisode. I can move my core abs ok but when she goes all over the place it's kind of hard to figure out which direction to go!

I'm not finding this too hard and really want to tone up so what would the next step be? Would I be best to go with the 30 day bootcamp or metamorphosis?

Good luck! I know the feeling is hard to describe but like a sense of being better, tighter.

The standing ab section is hard to figure out at first but after some time you get the hang of it, it just takes a while.

I'd say the mat work out is the most complete and easy to follow. Metamorphosis is for a more specific area. I still incorporated two other arm routines while doing hipcentric because I didn´t feel I was working my arms enough. 30 day bootcamp I´ve never done.

Thanks Daniellat!
Which one is the mat workout? Also, how do you know which Metamorphosis one to do?

I didn't end up doing the full 6 days last week because I got sick but tonight is my first day of week 2. I find it's really strange because it's like each workout is cumulative. It starts out easy but every day it seems to get harder and harder because of the workout you did the day before, yet you're not sore during the day! I can't figure it out. It's like nothing I've ever done before.

I have started to notice some very small changes visually thought already. Maybe it's not really there and I just want to see it though!
It seems like the tops of my hips are starting to slim down and my bum and tops of my thighs are tighter too. Also my arms!

Other than physically, I have also noticed that my posture has improved a lot too. Maybe my muscles are just working better now?

Anyway, I'm loving it!

By all of the reviews I am totally considering getting the TAM's hipcentric video. But will it honestly transform my legs?

I am looking for a total lower body transformation ..which video will work the best? hipcentric? thanks you TFS body savers!

Thanks Daniellat!

You can find the mat workout here . and here is better explained what type of body you have. Glutencentric, Abcentric, Omnicentric and Hipcentric.

It's the one that has changed my hip-thigh area the most, within one month I lost 2.5" off my hips without the diet, just working out for an hour 4 times a week. I didn't measure my thighs but they look completely different, leaner and more toned.

I'm having the same problem and have started with Hipcentric video 3 days ago, love the mat work out and the cardio dancing (but I find this extremely hard to keep up with - stopped at half way through because I was totally out of breath), I think if you want to change your lower body then this is a good video to start with, join her facebook page, there are lots of before and after pictures, i find them very motivating :P

How do you find the dance cardio?

My mark is 8 mins...I can't do more than that. I find the moves easy to follow and improvise but I just can't last longer, I think my heart will explode after the first 7-8 mins.

I'm struggling with keeping it up over 15 mins also, but hoping to last longer eventually. Great to know you lost inches off your thighs without completing the dance moves, that just shows how effective TAM is. I'm in Asia at the moment so sticking to the diet plan (some food are very hard to find here) is not easy, just trying to eat appropriately from now on.

I tried the hipcentric yesterday and now I feel soar at all of my problem areas. So it really works. And I ordered it today. But I have to wait for 3 weeks now. :( Also I don't think I can stick with the diet because I'm studying for exams and I don't have the time to look for all those stuff. Still I can't wait to get my dvd!

Daniellat - I think it was you who said that the method tones the area between your hips and butt, no? Well, I go jogging 4 times a week and do work out twice a week.. EVerything looks great...but this specific area I can't seem to tone. I simply don't know how! Could you explain/show me how Tracy does it?
