Trends You Are Sick Of #1

I saw someone on Friday wearing leather knee high boots (perfectly acceptable) with yellow neon leg warmers over the boots, bunched up around the ankle. I nearly died. It was horrific. :yuk:

Erin Wasson and her herd of wannabes (bloggers of the world unite!)
Alexander Wang and his tired 'look'
Vogue Paris and their tired, stale 'look'
Harem Pants
Overly designed Leather Jackets
Denim Cut-offs worn with loose fitting tanks and exposed bras...

So done. So over. It's no longer edgy or fresh... it's a glorified uniform.

Flip-flops. Their only appeal is their function and that can be taken care of by other shoes. I just hate the majority out there.

Those handker-chief -ish scarves. Don't know how to describe them, but so many people wear a tank top, jean skirt, half-length leggings, flip-flops, and throw on these scarfs that serve no function. In fact, if you're wearing flip-flops and leggings, those tacky scarves serve no function. They're all over UO slaves.

plaid anything
ripped t-shirts
anything with feathers on it/printed on it
plimsolls
those american apparel thigh high socks
high waisted ANYTHING

Anything from L.A. is overrated, trashy, and overdone.
No wonder no one cares about L.A. fashion week

I've been noticing a lot of girls wearing cowgirl leather boots with their frayed, denim miniskirts ... to class! I'm like "wtf? this is not the rodeo, take your trashy look with you to the slaughterhouse and kill that look!!"

Rubber flip-flops. They're nasty looking.

Skinny jeans on shorter or curvier girls. The point of a skinny jean/trouser is to add or enhance curves on girls who have less curvature (myself included). It looks awkward seeing a shorter/curvier girl trying to squeeze into a skinny jean.

The "Kanye West" sunglasses with the blind-shutter-things. I don't know, I never liked it. How can you even see??

(I can't resist coming back to this thread and detest today's atrocious trends )

it seems as if anything that is "over hauled" is not liked
duh, uggs please i gave mine away 3 years ago
plaid? a basic staple just "big" right now
wang? realllly...... one of the top designers
exposed bra's??
this and that is style, it is a look, it has been around for years now.

i totally agree with the uggs and the plaid statements..i loved plaid but now its like every mall kid is wearin it..

hi

hi everyone. this is my very first TFS post as an individual. i finally have a personal (not work-related) login. crazeeeeee

here is my 2 cents

- plaid shirts. please. it reminds me of high school (that was a while ago)
- boyfriend jeans - i know they just started but this trend is TOO EASY and unflattering
- leggings (OK i'm still gonna wear them in private though they are like pajamas to me)

trend i am about to be over before it's even begun--- SHORT up the butt denim cut offs ; 0

trend that NEVER should have happened--- jean shorts with garter and stockings unless you are literally going to the best party of your life and you know cobrasnake is gonna be there ; )

agree about plaid shirts. they bug me so much now. they are great & i've worn them since i was a kid but suddenly they are EVERYWHERE and it makes me sick!
i HATE pumps (i think a lot of people just call them flats), they are such an ugly shape and they absolutely took over a few years ago and are somehow still dominating and leaving no room for any other shape of slightly dressy flat shoe!
and plimsolls!! a shoe that is great every so often but now it is driving me crazy seeing all these girls following on and wearing them all the time with skinnies or mini skirts

the plimsoles are annoying me so much! every second person is wearing

Leggings! Where I live people think it is acceptable to wear them as pants and it is just not a good look.

Oh and at my school jeggings have taken off which is a cross between jeans and leggings, so leggings made from a fabric that looks like denim and it is just so unflattering.
