Trends You Are Sick Of #1

i don't know if this is just a UK thing, but people who wear berets/beanies pinned onto the back of their heads - it was a cute, bohemian look before EVERYONE started doing it! it clearly does not keep your head warm, as it's perched on the back of your head! and the worst is when people are wearing it inside or in the warm weather - something i saw yesterday, a girl in one of my classes wearing shorts and flip flops with a wooly beanie pinned on the back of her head. Just. Plain. Wrong.

Also, the whole hippie headband across the forehead. If you are a hippie or free spirit type, it's an adorable look but sadly everyone has stolen it and it now just screams 'fashion victim' to me. People can't even get away with wearing them to costume parties anymore, even if they're dressed as hippies, because it's just such a try-hard trend now. Sad.

Also, girls with hair in need of a serious brushing who think they look hot, eg anyone who looks like peaches geldof. Brush your hair. Volume is cute, texture is cute, a breeding ground for lice and fleas is not.

 So true!
The first person that came to my mind when I read that was Paris's new BFF. :yuk:

Twitter.

Not so much a fashion trend as social, but it seems to be invading this board also. I can't figure out why anyone would want to be a Twit.

I'm confused about this too. And you're right it is a total trend that seems to be getting fashionable connotations. Is there really a need for another social networking site?

So agree about Twitter 110%.
It's EVERYWHERE. CNN, Internet, phones, etc etc etc.
If I have to hear the work Twitter again ...

I agree with the beanie on the back of your head. and people wearing wooly hats when it's warm really is just wrong

Yeah death to the beanie.
Also "pinned" jeans, IDK if this is just a local thing, its men pinning their baggy jeans at the ankles to make the a different shape. Its got that bad that I saw some boys who had been to a pyjama fancy dress party and they had all done it to their pyjama bototms too!

I'm afraid that look was always "try-hard"

i don't like the beanie/beret on the back of the head thing, i'm all for wearing it the right way.

Agreed!!!!! Hipster trying to be cool are just annoying!!!! And the bright colors are beginning to give me a headache!!!!:hardhead:
The bright colors just won't go away, it drives me mad when I walk into Forever 21 and see those colored wayfarers all over the place:sick:

80's a la Rihanna- even a beautiful girl such as her looks awful in those outfits.

High-waisted pants and jeans- wtf have we gotten THAT bored and desperate? It wasn't just Jessica Simpson looking bad in them; everyone looks bad in them.

Skinny jeans- let's face it: Most people can't pull them off.

Skinny acid wash jeans- enough said.

One thing I'm definitely getting tired of is people who wear the really long shirts with big huge bright letters on them (usually gold or silver). Most of the time what the shirt says doesn't even make sense. Anyways, I see it a lot here.
