Every girl trying to be Sienna Miller the second, personally I love her style, but Sienna is turning into a style virus!! My boyfriend wore a tee-shirt last night saying 'ban faux-fur gilets', he got quite a few glares!

this is more like for this past year not the last ten but:
-ladylike tweed/houndstooth etc...
-frayed boucle jackets
-simplicity will do fine right now:if you don't have quirky fashion ideas of your own, don't try to imitate others'.

I hate something being a trend, too.inviduality is the word!!!
and two more I hate:
-boho look,even with kate moss
-being oh-so-different.I mean, inviduality does not mean you have to make all your clothes yourself and dye your hair green.

Yeah I see what you mean. Individuality in itself is not a bad thing. However when individuality begins to develop into a trend then it's a bad thing. You then get all these bohemian kate moss/sienna miller-wannabes sprouting up everywhere and claiming they're 'individual' because they don't follow 'the trend'. Whatever that is these days....

The style Gwen Stefani was sporting during the promotion of her solo album.

Hey, I loved my hair in green!! I loved violet better, but my point is that what I most hate of trends, is when you really like something and people think you wear it because it's a trend. That gets on my nerve all the time. I usually stop using things I like when they become a trend until it is over, but now I've had enough. I will still wear what i want.

The thing that I hate about trends in general is that they are not always for everyone. People should really look at themselves in the dressing room or at home and *really* think if that looks good on them or not. I mean, dont just buy what everyone is wearing, ignorning the fact that it may not look good on you specifically.

I just think you should wear what you want, regardless what everybody think as "accurate", less controled.

Fake "vintage" T-shirts. You're 14, ok, you didn't see the Rolling Stones in 1972.

Any kind of functional outdoor gear worn purely as a fashion statement, like puffy down jackets and North Face shells in the food court. Where are the crampons, dude?

The kind of distressed denim where it looks like two big skidmarks up the top of your thighs and one down your butt crack. We all know what worn-out jeans look like, and that's not it.

My common theme: I dislike bad fakes. If you're going to fake something, fake it well.

El Caballo, I COMPLETLY AGREE!
My little cousin (shes 16) has like 4 t-shirts of The Ramones and when i asked her what song she liked, she answered me with a HUH? I don't know how I manged not to laugh in her face! lol

Anything you guys DO like?

I think the problem is that Fashion is evolving too fast. The general public isn't into it enough to be on the breaking edge. They see something they like (which by the time they have see for the first time, its been mentioned in this thread 3 times) and wear it. think of them as the level 2 people. I throw myself in there abouts. Im certainly no fashion guru, but I usually do stuff just before the rest of the universe catches on.

Then there are the "level 3" people that are just terrible. They are the general public, they kill everything.

I see it in my hobbies where I am in the "level 1" group.

...if that made any sense.

I totally forgot about the fake Von Dutch and then the super yuk trend of "von b**ch" tshirts, hats, purses, etc. Just gross!

I am also sick of the initial purses....those are just gross!

I'm up to here  with the whole zone-explotion. As if being from a certain country makes the model who she is. Not every belgium girl look like the other.. A model is unique, regardless their background.

Exactly the case when it comes to Brazilians. Not all Brazilians look like victoria secret models and have nice butts like many people seem to think. Hell they're humans too you know!
