I don´t have tumblr but I think you just have to like posts, reblog a lot and follow lot´s of people. Some people might have huuuuge amount of followers so they might not check your blog BUT you could send them message and say blah blah blah and follow me! HAHAH
I think it might work that way.

I kinda like tumblr because it is easy way to find nice pics, some rare pics nd inspirating pics. It is just, tumblr is full off those thirteen years-old hipsters who think that posting tons of pictures people smoking and wearing denim shorts is cool...

Maybe I should make tumblr because I like posting pictures.

Thank you so much Jenna-Maria for your insight! I think I will try some of those ideas. I have yet to send my favorite tumblrs a message- I always thought that it might make me look rude (but what they hey- I suppose its worth a try). Also I think it depends what subject matter you are interested in following on tumblr, obviously some are uber hipster, but a lot are just by people who are passionate about their subject area.

and it says 'powered by tumblr' and the theme name..
