I'm not a Tumblr specialist, per se ... nevertheless, I've never received a notification for a reply, and I haven't noted anywhere in which you could enable or disable a notification for it, in account preferences. So, as far as I know, no.

Though, I think it would be nice if you could receive notifications for replies!

Yes, notifications would be nice. I asked a question to someone I'm not following so I guess that means I'm going to have to keep checking their tumblr to see the answer...

nooo i wish we could get notifications, some people answer them in their own blogs, then if you don't see the at first just go to their archive and on the "search" type the name of your blog
i like to tag my replys as #reply so it's easier for people to find the replies
