Lazy issue all the way around. And dammit stop with these rubbish celebrities interviewing celebrity interviews, they couldn't even get a proper side quote out of this throwaway one.

Work Up should have been a solo model edit, way too many models making it quite boring.

I really like Flights of Fancy but I especially LOVE the shot of Tess in the red Moschino.

Should I feel some type of way for not recognising anyone besides Indya and Jacob?

Boring issue, only i like the Weir's & Fran's editorials & bored to see Swift everywhere.

When you remove the diverse casting (and shapes, with Jess Maybury and Tess McMillan), I really feel as if Alexandra never really left. Especially with this issue. You have Kate Phelan doing her best Lucinda Chambers interpretation in Waste Not, you have the usual sex kitten cover edit for January, and the 'Fresh New Talent' in dour studio and location settings.

Taylor's cover editorial is the highlight of the issue for me, and it's really due to Mary Howard's set design. It gives the entire shoot so much character, warmth, and storytelling. I wish the industry, and photographers would champion more thematic set designers. I think right now, Julia Wagner is the best in the business. And her work with Josh Olins and Ethan James Green really underscore that. Then there's also Samuel Pidgen. But we need more. Of course photographers would need to start exploring their work beyond a grey backdrop for a start, and magazines would need to allow a budget for set designers. Because part of the reason why Hugo Comte's work is so popular right now is due to the vibrant set design.

Also, interesting that McDean shot with Meisel's full team. That doesn't normally happen.

Is it just me UK Vogue is the only January issue (so far) who made 0 MENTION of Vogue Values (both online and in print)

unless its inside the issue and I missed it since the cover makes 0 mention of it

kindly correct me if I’m wrong @Benn98

While the sustainable angle is highlighted with Waste Not, I couldn't spot any trace of Vogue Values per se. And maybe that's fine because in this issue you already have designers being applauded for their carbon footprint awareness on the one hand, while Vogue drools over Giorgio Armani and his superyacht. So, wise of them to sit out on that because the hypocrisy would be too comical.

I only recongise these two as well (Indya because of LV, Jacob because of Euphoria). All these "new talent" editorials are subjective anyway, your taste and preferences and curiosity will naturally guide you to discover fresh names that's relevant to you. Everything else is just publicists and magazine editors stroking each others' backs.
