UK Vogue November 2009 : Georgia May Jagger by Mario Testino

That is just...blindingly bad!!!

I wish they hadn't used the red as the editorial backdrop. I can see the rationale for it on the cover, to attract attention, but once you're inside, you don't need to have your eyes singed.

Carmen looks so young in her editorial. I don't like anything about it if I'm totally honest. Caroline's editorial is quite nice. Simple, but still nice. I kinda like the idea of having a issue using cheaper items of clothing. I think I will like it more once I get a copy infront of me.

The main editorial is terrible. Malgosia/Walker editorial is ok, I wish he would of done it outside.

Georgia's ed is a bit too much, a bit more variation would have been better. The other eds are quite good. Love the Carmen's ed :buzz:

even though both georgia and lara have full lips, gap teeth and blond hair, i think it is possible to make them look very different with the right makeup. the problem is that people (magazines) seem to try to make her to look like lara as much as possible, which makes me wonder whether they really see something in her besides the fact that she's a hall/jagger daughter and a model-of-the-moment look-alike.
now ignoring any comparison, the cover is awful. it's not her best angle, and the makeup is too much for a 17-year-old who already tends to look sexy without such flashy styling. the ed isn't good either, but i think any of those shots are better than the one chosen for the cover...
malgosia looks very nice though, she really adds something to walker's aesthetic.

^you took all the words right out of my mouth, couldnt have said it better, it will be interesting to see her styled differently and working w/ other photographers if she can master another look besides rockn roll sex kitten, Malgosias ed is the only one that is intersting for me in this issue but november issues never seem to be so great

How the hell could you walk around with 45 mop heads attached to your clothes? But I like the idea of it, it's really interesting.

The Telegraph is a little incredulous about it:

Vogue rides to the rescue of poverty-stricken fashionistas

7 October 2009

Here is some good news for the stylish but cash-strapped: there is a great-looking stripy shorts and shirt suit in the latest Vogue that costs only £2, despite having a ruff collar that alludes to this season's Ralph Lauren. The bad news is that you have to make it yourself, out of plastic bags, and it could take a while. (Plus, it might make you sweat a bit.) The outfit is part of a Make Do and Mend shoot, a jolly response to our hardened times: other looks include an amazing dress made out of 45 mop heads, a bolero sprung out of Marigolds and an ingenious pair of platform shoes whose stacked soles are really two rolls of toilet paper (watch out for puddles).

Apparently there is no shame in this sort of improvised domesticity: Alexandra Shulman, Vogue editor, says she is "crazy for the dish towel dress", which designer Peter Jensen stitched together from some admittedly rather smart looking tea towels. So what was the idea? "We've all got so serious about fashion," says Kate Phelan, who styled the shoot. "This is about having fun again." Have you been misguidedly staring into your wardrobe of a morning? Maybe try the cupboard under the sink instead.

Georgia always has exactly the same expression on every single pics of her editorial... and mouth open!
Carmen's ed is really good, thanks for all your good scans fearless123.

Georgia's editorial is so, so bad. Like the Tim Walker ed.

I still wish it was Lara, not Georgia on the cover and in the ed. They themselves are such great photos, though.
Both eds by Testino remind me of his 90's style which I like.
Thanks for the scans, fearless!

i'm a big georgia fan, but i think its probably a bit too early to put her on the cover. i mean, she hasn't done anything big yet right? just the famous last name. besides, on her ed she looks boring and with the same facial expression on every single picture. still, she is a stunner!

I like Make do and mend, very entertaining. And my, Caroline is looking lovely.Thank you for scanning fearless123

just got the issue and i must say that it is an amazing cover
I simply love it

Even though Carmen looks old on her editorial, I really like it, especially for its composition. Malgosia's is also amazing

Yeesh...OK, after seeing Georgia's ed, I have no hope for her whatsoever as a model until she can learn to close her damn mouth.

If Georgia wants people to take her seriously and wants them to stop bringing up Lara in every other sentence I believe she should just go back to her natural color. She looked 10 times better before anyway, It didnt make her facial features look as harsh and abrasive.
