UK Vogue September 2017 : Kate, Stella, Edie, Jean & Nora by Mario Testino

That shot was a bad choice, not even Stella can save it!
Hopefully the content is good.

I wouldn't downplay Liz's contribution to U.K. Vogue, the January 1990 cover comes to mind. Probably there most famous. Also her portraits of the Princess of Wales.

A look back at her short tenure really showcases U.K. Vogue at full strength perfectly embodying the supermodel era.

We don't downplay it. Her contribution was important but looking back, we saw glimpse of her talent and her vision. Yes, there were fabulous photos but in her body of work, her vision was really fullfilled at HB.
At Vogue, she was working for Vogue but IMO, she totally reinvented HB and it became her magazine. That became the standard.

The reason Liz got the HB job was bcos during her editorship of British Vogue it was the best Vogue edition...

No idea who Nora Attal is, and the Campbell girls look beyond dreadful.

I think there was a long time disconnect with her as EIC, obviously it was time to make a change. maybe this was her idea of finishing strong.

This is the real cover?... It's just awful.

It's real and comes with a silver foiled masthead. Alexandra Shulman just posted the cover on her Instagram and for some bizarre reason I like the cover a whole lot better.

Thanks for posting vogue28. :flower: So it was shot by Testino. I wasn't overly fond of the cover but the silver foil does add a lot to the overall result.

So it was shot by Testino.

And it'll most likely be his last cover for British Vogue, thank God!!

I will definitely get this issue, and I'm even keen to get a full scope of the contents though.

It seems Nora was purely used as a tool to keep diversity criticism away, because sorry, I don't recall seeing her in this magazine. The rest of the girls are all Chambers/Shulman pets. Replace Nora with Cara, Jean with Georgia and t would be more accurate. Anyway, at least this we'll be past this mess now.

Thanks for the review, Vogue28! :flower:
It's looking good so far. I'm keen to see Nick Knight's story. One of Testino's edits should have gone to Tim Walker, then it would've been an accurate reflection of British Vogue's photographer roster.

I'm thrilled to see Nick Knight back in British Vogue! And I always love Raquel by Nick so that's even more interesting to me.

But seeing Kate as the stylist gives me pause.

Thanks for the review vogue28!

I was excited to see Raquel by Knight until I saw that Kate is styling the ed -_-

Nora Attal is the only model of color in the entire issue.......

The preview of the main editorial, i through was shot by Josh Olins, but is by Testino. Excited to see the Raquel's story.
