US Vogue December 2019 : Phoebe Waller-Bridge by Ethan James Green

LOVE her! So glad they kept her beauty mark.

Alright so I don't watch Fleabag nor know who she is. But seeing everyone else's positive reactions makes me think I'M the one missing out here.

The cover is classic US Vogue. I should look into who she is.
Yes,yes and YES!! Check her out, and if you can, WATCH Fleabag, it is sublime TV! She also wrote a first season of TV show with Sandra Oh called Killing Eve, it is fun, and crazy, but nothing comes close to Fleabag! This is why it is so important to have women like Phoebe on the cover (and what Vogue is still in position of power to provide), the exposure for them, and their work is so important to support, and bring to a wider audience of people who are not as yet familiar, with them.

That ed just cracks me up, especially the Fleabag face she is making in the third shot.

Oh wow I love this! Anna better keep this up going into 2020

I know Anna loves Phoebe. Amazing cover and editorial, very Fleabag.

I love that is very Vogue but her expression is so very Phoebe/Fleabag :D

US Vogue got it right with this stunning shot of Phoebe! So classy and fitting for the holidays.

F************ck YES! Here for ALL OF THIS. Congratulations PWB!

One of their best covers in a while. This is such an elegant cover, it almost looks like a painting. The editorial itself is also really quite charming.

A very classy and strong cover. I watched one episode of 'Fleabag' very recently and quite enjoyed it, although I don't know enough about Phoebe's public persona to really say much for or against her otherwise. EJG's work for the last two covers has been very good.

Have been watching some of her shows and I love this girl so much! And it's such a fun preview

Timeless and chic cover. But I have to admit that I’ve never been a fan of grey backgrounds for US Vogue.

This is stunning. Perfect way to close the year.

Had to research about her first before I comment. First impression, who is she? And that’s a good thing (at least for me) since I have someone new to read about and not just Blake Lively opening up about motherhood like its the newest thing on earth. Based on the interviews I’ve seen of her, she seems funny and grounded. Excited to grab this.

As for the daily American, I see why Anna chose December. Holiday season is where everyone has time to sit down, relax, and read. Not so much on any other month.

the art direction leaves much to be desired

The last photograph feels like it was used as a cover trial. The overall composition screams cover. Glad they chose the final one, but wouldn’t be that mad if they chose the other.

the shot in the Blue dress is breathtaking. Easily one of the ICONIC and Memorable shots I’ve seen in Modern Vogue

From instagirls to sombre/demure/older looking actresses, I TRULY don´t see the pattern or Vogue´s loyal readership represented. It´s very disconnected from one month to the next.

It’s not about Vogue’s loyal readership...It’s about a global representation. US Vogue is not what it is because it caters to a specific type of audience.

All of us here share the same excitement over fashion and a certain interest on Vogue, whether we like it or not. Yet, I don’t believe that we all hate instagirls and very mainstream celebrities.

Yes, we all would want to only have models but can the world today or the economics under this publication, allow this?
