Yes their choice of cover subjects has been refreshing and relevant (to use that ubiquitous word). I hate when Anna puts an "obvious" choice on the cover. While Florence Pugh might be "obvious" given her success and talent, we have become all too familiar with the kind of choices Anna makes and the reveal of their covers had become a bit of a non-event. Or at best a game of let's see how low they can go. The last few months have been different and I'll commend them on making at least some effort.There’s too much text on the newsstand cover for my liking, but the image itself is just stunning. Florence has broken out in a huge way this past year and I believe this is her first major cover, so kudos to Anna. I think US Vogue has been on an incredible roll for covers since October, the likes of which I haven’t seen from then in many, many years.
Hopefully this cover will help etch Florence's face in my mind because I couldn't recognise her..
