US Vogue February 2020 : Florence Pugh by Daniel Jackson

Got no idea what that hat is, but that is overshadowed by everything else. Its a good portrait shot.

I would love to buy american Vogue and Elle the next month (wich is impossible), because the covers.

The other Florence would have pulled off these looks so much better.

As for Warren, I just want to burn her jackets. All of them, but especially the blue one.

Way better with lines and the pinning of the hat now makes sense, but I won't rush to get this. The Vaporub fumes of Cardi B's tackiness is still too fresh in my memory.
What's with the random empty space in the bottom left corner?

I've seen Elizabeth Warren on Rolling Stone and that cover looked generic but personable and fresh. Way better than the above. It's interesting how the likes of Ethan and Mark Peckmezian are now shooting political subjects because I don't think the pairing works. Both should rather leave that to Annie.

I hate the hat and the lack of neck but it’s fine. Great styling! That Vuitton suit!

Her, Margot, all the Emmas— they all blur into one another, a s far as Im concerned. I must be racist.

The only standout image is the one in all-yellow in an otherwise random set of forgettable selects. That shot would have made a decent cover for a dreary February. But I guess it’s not Vuitton...

But I guess it’s not Vuitton...

At least it's not a Vuitton advertorial, will give them that.
And, LOL, agreed about the Margot and the Emmas.

HeatherAnne will soon express her distaste for yet another English actress fast-tracked the cover of American Vogue, lol.

What is this?!!! What a truly horrible cover, HATE everything about this! First of all i am, still not impressed with her as an actress no matter how much praise she gets! Not when there are far better ones out there, especially POC, she is totally forgettable! But i guess people are trying to make her happen, ok, that is fine. But this cover is just so insipid, it's not even an actual cover shot! What this image is; is the back of the book page filler, like they usually do.

So NO! No cool points for having someone new on the cover, from me, and Daniel Jackson, really?!!
Forgettable? Really? Have you seen The Falling, Fighting with My Family, The Little Drummer Girl or Midsommar? I’d understand the POC comment if you were talking about a Blake Lively-level actress (though admittedly, she has grown on me), but Pugh has proven herself worthy enough to be on the cover.

On newsstands, there will be a price there and that scan code thingy. It will look less empty.

I love Florence so I'm so happy about this! And I agree with most, the hat should have been ditched but what a lovely portrait it is! I can't wait to buy this.

Yes. She is wearing Marc Jacobs on the cover but the Vuitton suit is in the ed.

Anna really is on a roll with some of her recent cover choices! Delighted to see Florence. She was wonderful in Lady Macbeth, Little Drummer Girl and most recently Little Woman. With her upcoming role in Black Widow as well, this is the perfect chance for her to get the cover. Very surprised to see some of the comments about her acting skills as well, I would say she is one of most exciting and talented young stars at the moment.

Although I sort of like this cover and appreciate the simplicity and full focus on fashion, you totally took the words out of my mouth regarding the above.

I'm bored to death of Anna consistently fast tracking every 20 something white British actress onto covers that a black actress with two decades worth of work like Kerry Washington have never had a single shot at scoring (don't even get me started on Thandie Newton...Lord)

So when you see this kind of s*t happening, it's no wonder Edward is putting the likes of Gugu etc. on covers to counteract. And to be fair I have to take my hat off to him for it (as mind-numbingly uneventful as UK Vogue is).

Oh, and I liked Daniel Jackson's work in like 2010, but seeing his name next to 'US Vogue', particularly in 2020 is laughable and screams "budget cuts this month team!" at best.

I like her, but I’d like to see Awkwafina given some love considering she got more Oscar Buzz than all the casts of Little Women combined (and she did win the Globes).

The hat can go away as it serves no purpose of being there other than an afterthought. Not loving the hair either as it looks rather disheveled instead of nonchalant, and the 70s inspired Marc Jacobs suit looks like an Anna Sui’s reject.
