US Vogue January 2008 : Kate Hudson by Patrick Demarchelier

yes, kathryn neale is married to anna's former step-son. she is however, quite well-dressed. does anyone have scans of the best dressed list?

Thank you sooo much lady.stardust! Can't wait for scans! I love Raquel/Carol's editorial! Is that the whole thing?

Yes that's it.

I agree she is well dressed but I do believe there are many others who are far better dressed on the Vogue masthead - Sylvana Soto Ward, Devon Schuster, Meredith Melling Burke, etc - though I suppose the first two are lower on the hierarchy of the Vogue offices than Kathryn Neale, however she is quite pretty, even if her accent is a little odd (never heard a New Zealand accent like that before).

Thank you!I adoooore the two eds!! :woot: :buzz:

...

The whole issue deserves a big yawn EXCEPT for that stunning picture of Natalia in the Demeulemeester outfit. That photo is amazing!

Natalia's editorial is so beautiful! She really makes all the clothes look perfect! Especially the mercurial Nina Ricci dress...now THAT'S a gorgeous shot.

And despite the fact that Raquel and Caroline's editorial is exactly what we expected it to be (neutral seamless, studio shot, the two of them hugging each other as they jump, etc)...it's surprisingly charming.

...the cover on the other hand....I don't understand WHY Anna won't put one of her new supermodels (Agyness, Hilary, Raquel, Sahsa, Coco, any of those girls) on the cover. If she's so obsessed with them, why doesn't she just give them a cover already!:angry:

and on a very side note...Balenciaga SS 08 photographs SO well!!!!!

One of their own editors is named to their best-dressed? How tacky.

Lanvin doesn't get a shout out in the Peerless ed? US Vogue is wrong on so many levels. :ermm:

^^Old...at least she looks natural in the old cover...

you're right...where is Lanvin?...wasn't it named one of the top 10 collection of SS 08 by style.com?

Natalia's ed is boring as usual...Raquel and Caroline, as expected, look like a couple of mentally challenged secretaries with uncommonly tall legs. Love Chanel's editorial, although she looks pretty childish on the last pic, something that is almost never seen in American Vogue.

i think i'm in the minority in not liking either natalia's ed or raquel and caroline...
natalia's ed is incredibly boring, the clothes are so gorgeous, but the ed just falls flat...
and oooh, it's caroline jumping about again...snooze...
i do, however, like chanel's ed...

Somehow I feel comforted by seeing Trentini in this issue. Its not Vogue without her - I want to be there when she and Anna get married.

Hopefully I can pick up this issue tomorrow morning.

LOL. ^^^

Well Raquel looks stunning. Sorry but I just love her to bits. Never tired of her. Natalia's ed also. The cover...blah. Well it's Kate. So not much to say there...if I had it my way I would so give the cover to Marion Cotillard. Her movie is buzz right now Golden Globe salute can someone say Oscar nomination? What is Kate promoting? :flower:

I love Natalia's ed! She looks fabulous in those outfits from those stunning S/S 08 shows!
Caroline and Raquel's ed is kind of boring, as usual.
Chanel's ed is OK, she should make something bigger.

I really like the Natalia edit but when oh when is she going to grow her hair out? And does she have an exclusive deal with Vogue because she never does edits for anyone else, covers yes, but edits no. On a side note I think that studio shoots are so awesome when they are collections edits as oppose to having one central theme. Fashion magazines should realize that theme shoots should be on location and studio shoots should just showcase the best individual pieces, not only in January and July but every month should have a collections edit, just think, there are hundreds of collections produced each season but only the same designers get the spotlight(Baleciaga, ysl, Chanel, Dior) other months could focus on smaller name designers.

I agree. They could've done a lot better with those gorgeous clothes. Natalia looks boring too.
Seriously, the C/R ed, that's why they missed VS?
Chanel's ed is interesting. My fav one from the issue.

WHY is it Kate Hudson? She doesn't have a movie to promote now, nor has she had any out this past year. If it has to be an actress, at least choose one who has something to talk about.

Agree ! This ed is gorgeous in a classical way but it would be good to see her in more creative editorials...
