The Norwegian model Iselin Steiro (20) is the designers new favourite. This season she is fronting campaigns for Gucci and Balenciaga.
It’s London 1999. Young Iselin is shopping together with her family when suddenly a scount from model agency comes over & asks Iselin what she thinks about becoming a model. ‘’No way!’’ says her mom. But the agency does not give up and Eivor Øvrebø from Team Models finds Iselin. Øvrebø takes the first plane to Harstad as he immedeately understood what the agency was talking about. Long and thin with an amazing emission. A talent. A new supermodel.
Seven years later Iselin's face has been seen in everything from the classic fashion magazine Vogue to prestigious W and Pop. She has walked the catwalk for every major fashion house and is fronting Gucci's and Balenciaga's main campaigns this season.

She's a professional in modeling; she likes what she is doing so she is very happy. I was with her during the first fashion weeks in New York and I had trouble keeping up with her. She is also very keen to finish school. I do remember that both Prada and Calvin Klein wanted her, but they had to wait.
Why is Iselin popular?
She is amazingly versatile. She is tall; therefore she can go from being a tomboy, to a modern version of Rita Hayworth. She is also very "real" and reliable.

Iselin is trustworthy and she always gives as much as she cans from herself when she is working. That makes it easier for me as a photographer, when she immediately understands what I want.
What is the key to Iselin's success?
She has a very special emission, in addition to being a very intelligent and sharp girl. She understands the game of the fashion business and knows that a few years of work can give her an amazing return. Therefore she has a professional attitude towards the profession. In addition I think it has helped that she has had an agency behind her which have really backs her up.

She is very fun person. A bit absent minded and giggly, but very intelligent. When she was little, she was very active, and because she has long arms and legs she fell and hurt herself all the time.
Why do you think she does so well as a model?
It is not just because she is beautiful, but because she is sensible, social and intelligent. Her personality makes her appeal to the right photographers. She is also very kind. Every summer she works at a center for disabled children outside Oslo.

- Life after modeling: Wants to become an interior designer and live in a cool apartment of her design either in London, Copenhagen, New York, Stavanger (Norway), or St. Tropez!
Part II
Iselin from early childhood knew only poverty and famine & her only little joy was to grow up and head to city where ladies had silver fox capes and latest shoes from Paris.
During the school time, Iselin was the gray, tiny country mouse whose shoes very black blocks and whose coats corners stood as rabits ears, but she has smth that the posh girls didnt have ... a natural beauty that couldnt compete even with the newest powders & pomade from France.
This girl had real math brains, she graduated school as honour student so with the important paper she heads to Paris. But ‘’poof’’ dreams soon disappeared, these days a school graduation isn’t enough ... What to do? Where to get money to study futher? Meanwhile to send away depression and fear, this young lady fastly turns into a young & rich mademoiselle in her dreams and heads to shops & thinks to herself, ‘’I don’t have to buy anything I will say that I don’t like how the clothing fits’’. She tries on millions of the latest trend dresses & suddenly a miracle happens – one of the shop directors asks Iselin if she would agree to take part in a fashion show on next Saturday. The lady can’t stop wondering what unique grace Iselin has!
Saturday is finally here! Iselin has divine make up & neatly combed hair. Her dress is black, sleek with intelligent glamour. One, two, there – Go! Iselin steps on runway & public is astonished & storm of applause just for Iselin. But at the very end of the runway sits a man, who nearly is obsessed about her beauty & so it seems he undresses her in his imagination.
The defile came to an end and Iselin had to become again the tiny, little gray country mouse. While taking of her make up, she notices again her biggest fan – a young man in 30 which is slowly walking towards her. ‘’Bonjour, Mademoiselle! Your beauty is like worlds’ biggest wonder!’’ This was a start to a beautiful relationships, soon the unpolished diamond shined like the brightest star in nighty heaven. But how did Iselin get the dress? It was a pleasent suprise next day that arrived to her door, as unexpected as the turn of her life.
