As others have stated, Steven Meisel was Vogue Italia. It's obvious that Franca leaned on him very heavily for driving the vision of this magazine. These new issues just go to show that Franca must really be floundering around, trying (and mostly failing) to come up with something fresh and distinct. It's certainly no easy task for Franca to reinvent and propel VI forward after years of such iconic and formative work, but it might just go to show you that without her "old faithful" to rely on she's very very lost.

Whoever the photographer is, whether I like him or not in other publications, I just can't stand that anyone shoots the covers of VI except Meisel. It it were not for him VI loses its identity right away.

Kate, on VI!! Oh wow, my hard-on is raging. Hers is not only the biggest surprise, but the best from the lot. The OP cover clearly doesn't fit this collection at all, it's just devoid of, well, everything.

I wouldn't mind getting the one with the four girls as well. Can anyone ID them?

On Kate grabbing another VI cover in 20 years: as long as you stick to the business there is always a chance.
Good to see Karen being one of the cover girls but her expression looks too tense and forced, and I don't get it. And I still like Meisel to shoot VI covers month after month.

I don't like Kate's cover at all. Her face looks swollen... I like Eddie's cover... Kind of bored of Karen Elson... I would have loved 4 girls cover if Jamie wasn't ruining it...
