Vogue Italia September 2016 by Steven Meisel

Meisel's ed is the weakest link imo, they should have given the cover/main story to McDean.

i feel like i`ve seen it 1000 times in vogue italia last 3 years. This Meisel, this Sundsbo/Patti wilson (this b*tch should just move forward, her styling ruins every shooting), this Mc Dean who looks exactly like Michel Compte or Carrozini... just one big WHATEVER

i ceased buying that magazine and keep that trend...

thanks Avogadro for all the hardwork though

Can't believe I'm saying this but... the 4th and 6th pictures from the Miles Aldridge ed would have made great covers. Everything else bores me to death.

That said (and notice that I hate hate HATE this nepotist trend or talentless celebrity models) I really enjoy how Bella gives me a sense of comfort due to being a Carla Bruni look-alike. She will always look quite beautiful even if looking bored as hell.

And... no Roversi/Lindbergh on the HC supplement???

Fantastic issue, and wow Bella scoring yet another Sept cover!! Its the best one actually!

Patti wilson (this b*tch should just move forward, her styling ruins every shooting)

Well, you know, Patti actually does well at Vogue Germany. Very well actually, and quite progressive. But there she mainly works with Summerton (who also sucks for Vogue Australia and TeenVogue, but does wonders for Vogue Germany). It's up to Franca to mix it all up. They're afforded a vast creative license so I don't actually see why there's a tacky Von Unwerth or Aldridge and his lifeless mannequins feature in every issue. Maybe Franca ought to drag them out of their comfort zones, and force new photographers onto them. It's never really the actual creatives at fault, it's the ones who's supposed to moderate them.

Everytime Patti works with Klein (and that happens all the time) its a disaster. With some rare exceptions. Her opulent too-much-going-on styling is just wrong

Bella's cover is everything. She looks flawless and it just solidifies her place as a great model.

At first glance, Bella Hadid's refreshingly creative cover caught my attention first; it's quite captivating. But after seeing that all the covers (over at Vogue Italia's website) are foldouts, my money is on Karen Elson and her fishbowl, which left me smiling with its sense of quirkiness and whimsy.

From what I'm seeing online, the editorials are solid. No complaints from me here. A very good September issue.

My favorite cover is the one with Lulu, so cute! But overall I like all the covers.

Lulu last name please!
She is so f*cking cute!

It's so interesting how people keep mistaking kiki on the cover as Karen!!

^Whaaaaat?? I was looking at the slideshow at VI's website on my phone and could have sworn it was Karen! jnobis, thanks for the correction!

The closest I can find to "Lulu" at The Lions agency is Lucan Gillespie, so either she now goes by Lulu or Lulu is so new she is not on their site yet.
