This was fast
I voted for Jamie's and Christian's Sept. cover. My second favourite is the Sept. issue with Sasha and Ash. And my bronze medal goes to the March issue.
Overall VI closes a good year.
Nothing this year has been able to top how they opened it for me. January's was a tour de force. I really appreciated to the full when I saw it for real - it was so beautifully simple, yet strange... not to mention the amazing editorial that accompanied it.
Other good covers were Meghans, Jamie's, Kinga's, Rianne's. Also because they all had great editorials to back them up. Unlike Eliza's, which was admittedly a gorgeous cover, but the editorial looked like crap. I couldn't turn the page fast enough. I also loved the subtle satire thing Meisel had going on this year, with plastic as the new black, women dressed like prostitutes as stylish women, and the bizarre, Oliver Twist quality of September.
It was a hit-or-miss year (Pixie) but the good covers made up for the bad!
What a truly lackluster year this has been, in general, but VI especially did not impress like in the past. Only one cover that stands out to me as perfect is the July one, with one and only McMenamy.
