Vogue Paris December 2012/January 2013 : Carla Bruni Sarkozy by Mert & Marcus

I got my issue today, Im sorry but I feel like every issue of Vogue Paris is running into eachother. There is nothing that makes me stop and catches my eye in the entire magazine.

Actually I lie, Bette Franks Face in the Bottega Ad did, I went back to that multiple times, but the contents of French Vogue has become very dull.

Im not paying £5 a month to read about Blue jeans and a White Shirt....Again and again and again. Nothing in this issue makes me gaze at it longingly.

Particularly disappointed for a christmas issue.

I think this ties up with another thread but do people actually buy fashion mags, particularly Vogue, just for the photos? Vogue Paris does some great articles, it's the Vogue with the best articles in my opinion, and Emmanuelle stepped it up a notch since she became editor.
That's actually the reason why i buy it every month the articles are always interesting. I do buy some mags to look at the photos but it would not get a mag subscription or be faithful to any mag that did not have something good too read.
Besides Carla's, does anyone Know who are they featuring?

Christy Turlington, Emmanuelle Seigner, David Fray, Marie-Agnes Gillot with JPG and Jacques Dillon with Lou are featured.

As usual, words fails me to describe how amazed I am over the contents in real. Christy's editorial is just knock-out. Mert & Marcus' edit with Carla has become even more alluring, since I have the issue at hand. The photos are vivid and coherent which I like. More so, the cover is more captivating on the stands, with the foiled masthead. I'm certain this will provide stimulating visuals until the February issue surfaces.

^Oh well, the idea of the calendar is somehow to showcase nudity, not like its the first time or the first one. Basicly its what Pirelli should be doing.

Anyone Knows If Dec/jan Issue Means It Is Sold In January Also?

I am off to France on 12th of Jan and wondered if I won't be too late to grab some in Paris? or will the feb issue already be out by then? please if someone knows let me know.
This calendar is fireworks! the best models looking at their best. Forget Pirelli, this is it for me.

I think you should probably still be able to find it on the 12th of January, but you're cutting it close. The Feb issue will prob come out the following week. If you're having trouble, check the street kiosques and see if they have any leftover ones laying around. Good luck :flower:

This calendar is a whole lot of boobs but I love the pictures.

And Or But?

This calendar is a whole lot of boobs but I love the pictures.

Your sentence made me laugh a bit 'cos for me, I would not have put a "BUT " between the first part and second part in your sentence:), instead I would have written "AND".
I have more Pirelli's and boobs out pictures framed on my walls in my whole house than any straight guy. My boyfriend isn't complaining:D.
I find nudity in fashion so artistically engaging, sometimes more than when they wear fashion, but I seem to not get tired of nudity as quickly. Not sure why though.
For me although I'm not a fan of Anja, that shot is perfection and ready to be framed if am lucky enough.

All the calendar pictures are from Carine's era right?
For me this means a lot! Very strong images from very strong editorials.

I bought my copy in Chamonix today! The Calendar is great. One or two pix feel a bit random though...
I was impressed with the issue more than I expected... It is a very warm issue... I think perfect for Dec/Jan! Lots of character in it.

June, August and October are from under Emmanuelle's control.

:lol: I put "but" because I'm kinda sick of displaying boobs in almost every second editorial but this pictures are simply amazing.

My calendar arrived earlier and I'm so thrilled over it. I wasn't too impressed with the fact the images had been published in the magazine before. But the calendar is set-out to perfection, very simple and printed onto the nicest card. I doubt the calendar will get that much exposure in this household, though. There are children in the family who visit here too often. Nonetheless, it will go with the rest of the Vogue Paris calendars I have.
