Vogue Paris May 2009 : Daria Werbowy by Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin

I just can't bring myself to get excited about this cover. Daria is beautiful, Inez and Vinoodh have taken a relatively pretty picture of her but this is just rehash. There is nothing new, nothing interesting, nothing at all that speaks to me. Apart from the very vague happiness I get from seeing a new image of one of my favorite models this really has no impact whatsoever and merges in with the stream of very redundant images I've been seeing lately. They could have picked another of their favorites for this or gone with a concept that was more interesting. One of the Faster Pussycat images from the editorial could have been the cover, or that shot of Raquel flashing her bum, anything but this.

I honestly cannot believe that I'm complaining about Daria being on the cover of a magazine but goodness this is so bland.

For me Daria can do no wrong, shes so sexy and strong on the cover and love the ed, also the snaps from Cherchez la Femme look very pretty excited to see the full ed

Cover is super boring, it doesn't grab the attention at all, it's just.. bleh. With so many amazing shots inside it galls me that they chose such a bland one for the front!

Am definitely dying to see scans of Daria and Karlie's eds though...

cannot even fathom how incredible that editorial is.

Eva Herzigova rocks my world. she looks a bit ragged in some of the pics, and are those sores on her lips?! either way - she's a brilliant model. the STYLING is out-of-this-world extraordinary. and the photography. just astonished.

easily one of the best editorials i've seen in months.

I love Karlie's ed, even though studio + Sims is not my thing, she stands out through the crazy styling and I love how they are mixing the Dolce pyjamas in with this look

I couldnt agree more, the styling is brilliant in this ed, pieces I would have never thought would look good together are magic, and the setting is pure eye candy, must buy this now!
