I just purchased a white waistcoat from Zara's (one size up) for about $70. I love it.

So is there a difference between a waistcoat and a vest, or are they the same?

^^^ I'm not really sure. Personally, I see vests as like ... sweater vests or something. Nothing with much structure. Whereas I see waistcoats as something sharp and really defined. I don't know if that makes much sense?

Thanks, I sort of understand now. Similar to the difference between a cardigan and a blazer.

vest and waistcoat is the same thing exactly...

it's just the UK term for a vest...
and they call tank tops vests..
and sweaters are jumpers...etc...

technically... it's the third part of a 3 pc suit...

so don't let it confuse you...
gonna add the word vest to the title of the thread so there is no further confusion...
