I'm not following re: Edita? She's never walked for Prada, but that's not a prerequisite to work with Steven. She did do Miu Miu last season, and subsequently booked the Pringle campaign...

Kasia shot Pringle last season, and a multi-girl VI spread (August 07), but it doesn't seem like he really fancied her...

Ali hasn't worked with Meisel (yet)...

Neither has Rachel, Behati, Bruna or Iekeliene (to my knowledge). Not sure about Egle...

you are right. Maryna is Meisel's new favorite girl. She did 3 S/S 08campaigns with Meisel and got a VI cover last year. But She didn't walk Parda& Miu Miu.

Yeah that's what I meant, walking Prada or Miu Miu doesn't mean you'll get to work with Meisel, and not walking Prada doesn't mean you won't work with him, e.g. Edita and Doutzen, who haven't walked that show but still get work with him.

Meisel isn't the main career maker anymore, I don't think, he's been shooting fewer and fewer campaigns recently and other photographers like Mario T. and I&V. Dolce and Gabbana is usually multi-girl and usually you get to work with him by default if you're chosen, for example he shot Anja with other girls but didn't work with her for years afterwards, but Meisel don't shoot this campaign anymore and Meisel is credited with the most Iconic imagery created for that Brand. I don't know if he's doing fewer campaigns by choice or because he's being boycotted. Although he still does the campaigns that people remember like Prada and Lanvin and he controls the covers that really makes the model like Vogue Italia and US Vogue.

Didn't Meisel shoot something for Dolce & Gabbana and then they scrapped the campaign and used new models + new photographer instead?

Meisel was pretty much influential in "making" Coco Rocha's career, which is fairly recent - a few years ago, maybe? He signed her to that exclusive, started shooting her for everything, and look at her now.

^Yeah according to Models.com Coco is a "money" girl and is in the top 25 who earn the most money, she's number 25 which isn't bad for 19 and only 2-3 years in modelling.

Yeah, I've read that Meisel casts Anna Sui... I think it's in Freja's thread. Meisel apparently has some issue with her and someone mentioned she's appeared on every major runway except Anna's, which is cast by Meisel.
