What To Wear On An Airplane

it seems like alot of yall dress up alot more than i do..i DEFINITLEY go for the comfort factor rather than style...i just wear juicy or 2 b free sweats and if its cold a hoodie or if its hot a tshirt...very little makeup too bc i usually fall asleep on plane rides and my makeup will get messed up haha...so i wear moisturizer and a little mascara and chapstick bc my lips seem to get realllllly chapped on planes!

comfortable clothes and alsoo SHOES ...the best is going with sneakers or sandals...
I always travel with a nice jacket and jeans cause the air conditioning from the airplane will freeze you...

That is so true... I've learned my lesson and will be bringin my cute "down" socks on my trip to south-america because last time it was like an ice box the whole trip.....

I HATE to check baggage, so I'm a complete minimalist when traveling  I wear the heaviest things I plan to wear on my trip on the plane to leave more room for cramming my carry-on! That leaves me with

spring/summer/fall - jeans/slacks, a top, swtr/jkt & tennies (you don't have to remove tennis shoes in security check :magic: ).

And winter - jeans/slacks, top, swtr, coat (carry inside & use as blanket on plane... always so cold... brr), & boots

well usually when I'm flying somewhere, I'll be gone about a month, so I wear the stuff I can't fit into my bag, ie: boots, nice jewelry, big dresses....

I hate carrying my coat around but usally I travel to the other side the equator and that always means opposite weather, I must look funny carrying my down jacket in Sao Paulo airport when waiting for my connecting flight:blush: . But having it in Paris CDG is worth it because it is always so cold there in winter time.....

Last time I flew, I wore jeans, a graphic tee-shirt, a blazer, and heels. It probably wasn't the smartest or most comfortable outfit to wear, but I don't ever take that into consideration as much as I should.

Flying is somthing i want to be overwith fast, so nothing more over bearing then what i usually wear, Comfortable/Classy for the air port, you dont want to look like your trying to hard just for that reason...Flying can be miserable and you can come out looking horrible :P

Well I go to Cali at least 2-3 times a year, and I live in Seattle. It's about a 2-3 hour flight, and my parents always tend to grab a flight in the early morning, so I stick to a fleece zip-up, sweats (I can roll em up once I get to Cali) and flipflops maybe...I just like to be comfy.

I wear what I normally wear. I usually travel by plane at least once a month but it's usually about 2-3 hours long.

I have done the international route from Singapore to LA more times than I care to remember and plane rides can average a wretched 16 hours or more.

Usually, I throw fashion out of the door and strive for comfort instead. I always fly economy, so it's sweats/yoga pants with tanks/tees for me. oh and flip-flops too ;)

I worry a lot more about what the cabin hair does to my skin and hair...so I guess I am probably one of those people who arrive looking terribly wretched :D

I fly very rarley now, but last jan-aug I was flying to NC every month. I would just wear jeans and a t-shirt or sweatsuit. Uggs in the winter, flipflops in the summer :)

As many noted, comfort first... always (Especially for extremely long flights to Europe and/or Asia). For some odd reason, I usually end up wearing the same outfit(s) on most flights.

I tend to end up in this... Some sort of Tee Shirt (haha my favorite flight tee is my apache print comme des garcons tee, either that or any one of my bape tees ^_^) paired with baggy jeans worn low (usually a pair of raw denim Evisu Genes or unwashed Levis 501's) and either a pair of Converse Chucks or Vans. If It's cold I will throw on a bomber jacket or something of the sort. I can't stand sitting in a plane wearing anything remotely dressy, even in executive or 1st, it is an absolute pain to be wearing restrictive clothing (suits and anything that isn't easy to move around in, especially dressy shoes) whilst sitting in one place for hours!!!

That and I never leave the country without my Gucci Weekender. It's great, I am usually the most underdressed and unseemly person in the Maple Leaf lounge... or any of the international lounges for the matter :P!

- Cheers

Well I'm going from london to ny in feb and I have no idea what to wear.
But I think im just going to go with comfortable loose, black trousers, big dark grey woolen sweater and then some comfortable shoes that let my feet breathe but keep me warm.
Oh and moisturiser cos I hate my face to feel dry.

I fly to Miami all the time to visit my boyfriend. It isn't that long of a flight, but for me it doesn't matter wheter is 1 hour or 10, I want to be comfy! Usually some destroyed broken in crops, a tank with a hoodie like Rebel Yell and some flip flops. I don't wear too much makeup generally but I put on a little. I think it's all about what you are happy in. If heels and a skirt are fine by you, go for it! :D

I usually wear a velour tracksuit w/ flip flops/sneakers or comfy jeans and a sweater. Light makeup and lip gloss and sunglasses. No heels at the airport for me...just in case I have to run to the plane.

If its a long flight I usually wear a skirt so I can just slip on my pajama pants ;)

I'm going to France this Sunday. I'm not sure if I'm going to do the skirt thing. I don't want my legs to get too cold. I hope the flight won't be too bad

both of the times i've been on an airplane its was a 13-16 hour flight.. so I wore jeans, a tee, and a track jacket of some sort just in case it got cold.

i always wear on an airplane what i normally wear. i don't even notice what's comfortable and what's not comfortable anymore. sneakers and jeans and tee isnt comfortable for me. give me my heels, please!
